Gay Wolf Pairs

Gay Wolf Pairs

Based off this post Breeding Pairs (assuming it will 100% be implemented), I think there could be more done with it!

As Im assuming almost everyone knows, gay animals show up more then just in humans! I unfortunately dont know much about this in wolves, only that they can be gay too! But, I think it could also be functional to the game!

For this to happen, another mechanic would have to be added (or at least, one idea I have for a mechanic) and hopefully without violating the one topic guideline, the mechanic would be litters with 4+ pups where the mother has a chance to abandon the runt. When this happens, have it where the gay pair can adopt said puppy and raise it! (Ignoring things like, well, nursing because not like this game is supposed to be 100% accurate)

Or maybe even have a very rare explore encounter where if you have a gay pair, you can find an abandoned puppy and bring it back to your pack to be raised by the gay pair!

This isnt out of the ordinary for other species, like penguins, so, why not wolves?

This admittedly doesnt add much, but I do think itd be cute and add a little more to peoples wolves to let them be given more character!

Sounds really cute, especially the explore encounter! Support.

I like it and support it. I feel like it will give more worth to male wolves.

Half support. If bonding pairs are a thing that's coded in than I absolutely want same sex pairs to be an option. I do not support coding in adoption. If you want your wolf pair to adopt (regardless of sexual orientation) just rp it.

I could see this being an explore encounter especially for something like the February event.... I try not to mention lioden I feel like I do too often but February is always a fun month.

It's a nice idea but seems kinda pointless to me? Idk, the idea feels like something many would never use because they can't breed or do anything besides, really, have a roleplay element.

"Or maybe even have a very rare explore encounter where if you have a gay pair, you can find an abandoned puppy and bring it back to your pack to be raised by the gay pair!"

This will never happen, it's been stated we will never be able to get pups in explore.

If a pair system was implemented it would be nice to have some gay wolves... there would need to be some perk, as it would prevent female wolves from breeding. Maybe they would do better being on the same hunting team, or finding pups as NBWs that could be adopted by gay pairs. Otherwise you can just say they're gay and not affect game play. I do that already lmao

No support, sorry. I don't believe wolves can be gay and it's not relevant to the game.

@Laikia ", or finding pups as NBWs that could be adopted by gay pairs" I just explained that this could not happen.

@Starlight I suppose this depends on how you look at it. Dogs do hump and Express interest in others of the same sex (often for dominance, however) and, as they mentioned in the past penguin case, bonded pairs are documented between the same sex.

Now, wolves don't really do the bonded pairs thing in this sense so it's left down to a question of if we want to do the documented facts or use other animals as reference
