Hi! I got super into Wolvden when it first released publicly in 2020, but my interest dropped off after the first few months. Briefly came back in 2022 but got overwhelmed with new features and generally felt behind on everything so dipped again. But I'm back and hopefully third time's the charm??

But there's loads of new features now and I don't really know what to prioritise and what's important for core gameplay anymore,, like there's a million new buttons and boxes and some socialising tab thing and I'm just trying to keep my guys from starving yknow :') some advice would be really appreciated ahah

So, some things to note are that if you find a chased NBW, GENE TEST IT IMMEDIATELY. That makes it worth an arm and a leg. Also, pay attention to its eyes. Eyes that are Steel Blue, Holly, Husky, Dark Hazel, Dust, Storm, Smoke, Novus, or Bloodhound, that makes it more valuable, especially if its a T3. T3s with raffle eyes are far more valuable than most T*s with raffle eyes. And breed-only bases like Mojave, Megalodon, Seal, Argent, etc with raffle eyes are going to be worth more than a Caribou, Badger, or Fox with raffle eyes. But that kind of value also depends on who wants what. Some people prefer more event features over more raffle/BO features. Also, we still haven't gotten that group update. The Springtide event (I joined in the middle of that event) is a new event where you get seeds, grow and sell props, and enter them in contests for GP (glow petals). Lots of people seem to not like the event too much, but I enjoyed it. If you need any more tips, let me know!

The basics of the game are the same. Hunt, scout, forage/mix, and explore. That's still most of what the game is about. Things like mutations, rare colors, etc don't have to get in the way if you don't want them to. But there are a few things to consider. If your pack is struggling to get by, then socializing can be a lifesaver. Learning to use it most efficiently can reduce (and even help to entirely break) your pack's reliance on toys. Touring your wolves' pages every few minutes can trigger once-per-rollover social interactions with each wolf that may provide extra food or toys. Your lead wolf's "Talents" can do lots of things to make your game easier, so it's worth taking a look at. Your education program for your pups is a vital piece of keeping your pack strong and growing.
