Peach smiled warmly at Ghast before walking into the den, which was dark and smelled like deep grief. Opal was curled around her mother, one of her wings around her mother's body, her eyes blank and sad.  "Hey there Opal, it's time to let go.." Peach said, gently nuzzling Opal's shoulder, making Opal whimper. "Please... Just a bit more time.." Peach shook her head sadly. "It's been to long already."  Opal let out a shuddering soft sob, but gently untangled herself from her mother, dragging her body away and flopping down onto the ground, closing her eyes. Peach meanwhile got Opal's mother's body onto her back and began to leave the den. "Stay with her please?" Peach washed Ghast.

Ghast nodded, he then entered the den softly calling out to her "Opal?" He said as he walked over to her

Opal raised her head weakly. "Hi.." She spoke softly, voice raggedy and raw from sobbing so much.

Ghast flattened his ears "I know.. but that isn't happening.." he said feeling really bad for her, he wanted to be able to comfort her but she probably wouldn't like that especially from him.

Opal began to softly cry again, her already raw throat making it sound that more pained and grief filled. Her usually strong and able body was trembling hard with her cries.

Ghast really had no choice but too, he laid down beside her one wing resting over her, He was trying his best to comfort her without it being awkward

Opal stilled for a moment, before relaxing under the comfort of the wing, crying softly still but not as broken, her body exhausting itself.
