Sootpaw's ears pricked with surprise at his leaders request for his help, and gave a curt nod before turning around and running back to the camp as fast as his paws could carry him. The apprentice's paws drummed against the soft earth with each stride, his ego boosted at that fact that he was chosen to run back and gather the rest of the clan for help. Sootpaw barreled through the camps entrance, his chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath. " Hopestar and her patrol need help!" He yowled, trying to get the attention of the remaining cats in the camp.

The shock of the sudden rush of things happening was quite unexpected and Thistlepaw hadn't quite recovered as it was. Just how many rogues were gonna suddenly show up she wondered as she watched her older clanmates handle the situation nearly flawlessly, well at least in her mind that was. There were so many things going on at nearly the same moment she didn't have time to let excitement get the best of her at first.

Taking a moment to shake her head and get out of her own thoughts Thistlepaw felt more like her old self and ready to take on any challenge!

"Hey!" She called after him, following him as Cosmos disappeared up a tree. "You aren't suppose to leave!"

"Are we all gonna go after him?" She asked, turning to her mentor and the other cats with almost a bounce in her step. "I can't climb well but I can try!"

Shadeheart turned his attention back towards Hopestar as she spoke up, ears perking as he listened to her order. He gave a curt nod and, with just a brief pause to tense his muscles, took off after the rogue. He kept his claws unsheathed as he jumped up and climbed the tree that the tan rogue had vanished into, focusing on just his scent now so he wouldn't lose him. He was fine doing this as he knew that the others could handle themselves just fine, they were trained after all versus the rogues who probably weren't. He said nothing as he'd leave the talking for later after he rounded up the tom.

Honey, who had been fast asleep in a spot that she though was quite and peaceful, was woken up to the sound of a large group of cats. Now slightly annoyed from being woken up, got to her paws and slowly stalked towards the commotion. She watched from a distance as this group seemed to be antagonizing each other, and watched as one cat dashed away and climbed up a tree.

Her amusing trickery set aside, Kestrelheart turned to see Sootpaw, the young tom out of breath as he yowled an announcement.
Usually, the she-cat wouldn't care and would carry on with her own apprentice, but at the mention of Hopestar, her claws unsheathed and her ears instantly ticked back. Loping up to Sootpaw, she stood before him.
"Where is the patrol?" She demanded, her tail wavering slowly near the ground, her deep sky blue eyes pinned on the apprentice as she awaited an answer, quite impatiently, for she had already begun to pace.
Kestrelheart was antisocial and didn't like spending time with anyone other than her apprentice, yes, but when it came to defending her clan, and overall her leader, she was a force to be reckoned with, and she knew the values over her own life were to be protected.
Walking around Sootpaw as she had her own apprentice but a mere few seconds ago, she lashed her tail.
"Well?"

Skyeyes paced around the den distractedly. His herb-stained paws kicked around bits of old moss and plants occasionally, but he hardly noticed. Clearly Snowshine meant we need to expand the clan. But did he really mean inviting loners and rogues into our midst? How dangerous would that be? Surely there are some harmless cats out there, but if too many come in, they might just overpower us and steal away everything we work so hard for.

His tail kept going as his mind whirled, lashing about the further he delved into his thoughts. I suppose if we take in just a few at a time, get them to prove their loyalty with some kind of test as we do for 'paw assessments, we could manage. I just pray the clan will accept so many strangers.

Raven nodded again, "I shouldn't expect them to. I imagine they meet plenty of strangers around, not all of them well intentioned." She listened eagerly to everything the tom had to say, wanting to learn as much as she could about the area and the clan.

"If nothing else, this doesn't seem like a terrible place to call home, seeing as I've already met such a nice cat as yourself." she mowed warmly, adding "I can understand being defensive of their land, plenty of cats in nofur territory had their own digs and weren't shy to let you know it. Especially toms." She snickered.

Seeptail cocked her head at Sootpaw's name. "Wha-", she shook the confused, dumbfounded look on her face as Shadeheart bounded out of sight and up a tree. "And myself? Hopestar?", Seeptail asked, dipping her head and settling herself closer to her leader. She kept her ears alert, listening for more rogues and to see if they had changed positions. "And what of the rogues in the treeline, Hopestar?", she asked with a stern, but kind gaze on Hopestar. The clan cats are outnumbered, and unless Sootpaw and the others got here fast, they might be in a predicament.

The siamese cat sneered behind him as Shadeheart followed him up the tree. "Leave me be, pest!", he yowled before taking off, jumping from tree to tree. Cosmos was faster in the trees. His small figure allowed him to avoid narrow branches and slip into small openings. Suddenly, the trees weren't as close together anymore. "I told you I'm not getting caught again", he growled. Cosmos tried to make the jump but failed. Cosmos fell down but landed on all fours. He bounded forward again, spotting an orange tabby on a tree trunk....meditating??? Cosmos paused and turned towards the large cat, just far enough to tell he was another rogue. Cosmos whipped around to face where Shadeheart was tailing him, yowling and giving a desperate flick of his tail on the other cat.

She settled down with the mouse, but was confined to her thoughts and found it difficult to eat. She moved a patched paw forward to gently prod the piece of fresh kill. But Skyeyes doesn't seem extremely concerned- he doesn't think we're going to die. I trust his opinion. Pebblepaw decided at last before she returned her mouse to the fresh kill pile, and picked out a thrush to offer to her mentor. She gently picked up the creature in her jaws to take it to her mentor, only to see Sootpaw rush into camp. He seemed flustered.

The patrol needed help?

Well...as a medicine cat in training, there wasn't much she could do in terms of combat. The little silver tabby abruptly rose to her paws, leaving the thrush on the pile and poking her nose into the medicine cat den. "Sootpaw says that Hopestar's patrol needs help. What do we do?"

Hmph. Well, he thought that some of the bitter RainClan cats ought to be at least a little more appreciative of outsiders- he personally thought that all the loners combined could potentially outnumber the relatively small clan. Besides, cats like himself posed themselves as no threat. It gave the cats no right to be so hostile towards them.

He twitched his ears, smiling lightly at her jab as he continued along the forest floor. "Well, toms like that are blemishes to the reputations of good cats like myself. I personally don't believe in holding territory- a cat has no right to claim what isn't rightfully theirs. Our great creators gave the land to all of us, not one cat- nor many- have the right to claim it as solely their own property." Murtagh hesitated for a moment afterwards. "...Granted, I'm likely to oppose anyone's claims because I don't like to be bossed around. Nobody owns me."

The handsome feline's ears twitched as he suddenly paused in place, picking up voices that seemed all but pleased. Fortunately, they were still safely covered by the protection of thick undergrowth. He put his silvered tail in front of the younger she-cat to prevent her from walking forward. "Wait," the observant loner murmured in a low tone. "...Something's not right here. We need to stay hidden, and listen. We don't want to go jumping near RainClan's border when they're particularly hostile. It's like poking at a bee nest."

Dusk's peace was shattered as he heard more than just the wind in the trees. Now, there were multiple quick thumps, along with the sound of branches being whisked by... somethings.
The tom stood up, his hackles bristled and raised. He was already prepared, claws unsheathed if something were to attack him from the trees.
It was then he heard a thump to his left. Whirling around, muzzle peeled back, he saw another tom. He had his muscles bunched up, about to leap before he saw the male desperately motioning to him with his tail.
He found out why when he saw the dark Clan cat hot on his tail, still in the trees.
"Blast these Clan cats..." He hissed to himself, padding over to the tom. He was bigger than the newcomer, and taller. He wasn't surprised why he had motioned for him. The only thing Dusk could guess was that he had seen him in passing and dropped down from the trees.
"You better be lucky I have nothing to do, and that I despise Clan cats." Dusk chuckled as he took his position beside the tom, positioned and ready for a fight.
This also reminded Dusk to be grateful for his thick fur -- it made it harder for enemies to bite his skin. With a smirk, he looked up into the trees where the dark tom was.

The warrior wasn't entirely all that skilled as the other apparently when it came to traveling through the trees like that, but at least he hadn't lost his footing nor the tom in question as he gave chase. He only slowed when the other dropped down, carefully climbing down and jumping to the ground from the tree as the trees parted to a small clearing. His ears went back as his fur bristled, slowly coming to a stop closer towards the trees as the rogue he had been chasing sought help from another one that had been sleeping. His tail lashed as he lowered his head, mostly to protect his throat as he dug his claws into the ground. 

His words weren't very welcoming to hear, and it definitely wasn't a good thing either that the tan one was teaming up with the other rogue. Now he was outmatched and his own clanmates had their paws full with the other rogues. "I'd suggest the both of you stay out of Rainclan territory if you know any better..." He growled, his stance ready to fight but he remained where he was for the time being. He wasn't going to be stupid and charge at both males, especially when one of them did seem bigger than he was.
