More Customizable Wolf Bios!

So, I'm the kind of person who wants my wolf bios to look pretty. So that's what this is for.

My suggestion is to add "code view" to wolf bios, and to add all the formatting options available on the forum or your profile/den to wolf bios. I think it would also be nice to change the background color, if someone wants it to be transparent, black, etc., instead of green, and even to be able to code the page like your profile, to make it look fancier. "Coding" the page like this could only be for wolf bios, so the actual wolves, stats, etc. are not edited.

Otherwise: add a "Bio" tab for your wolf, next to the Wolf Detail, Settings, etc. tabs. This would bring up a wolf bio in full view there, without being compressed and the need to scroll and so on, and any coding applied to the bio would only appear with that tab open.

So yeah, that's just my suggestion. Any issues or things that could go wrong? Let me know, I'd love to discuss this suggestion! :)

I think the biggest concern is that players will be able to manipulate how stats/marking are displayed, and maybe deceive others into buying wolves that they thought were way better than the wolves actually were. I'm not exactly sure if that's very possible, but at the very least you can make all the text on the page transparent, making it a nightmare to navigate.

However, I would like more customization options for bios, at least as templates. 

1. Other background options, for example: white, light gray, beige, pale yellow, black (with white text), light blue, pink, lilac.

2. Bigger bios. As of now bios show ~ 5 lines of regular text without scrolling. I think there should be either a checkmark to get an extended bio (that is at least twice as tall of a box), or an option to make the bio fit the contents, extending down as much as needed. Since the bio is the lowest box on a wolf's page, that wouldn't prevent players from accessing anything, So I don't mind that those can become very long.

@ 𝚑𝚢𝚍𝚍𝚎 -- Yeah, I thought that was probably one of the concerns, and that's certainly understandable: that's why I'd say its best to simply have formatting within the bio -- like someone can format a post in a thread, but not the whole thread. :)

And I totally agree with both your points! Your second one is also one of the reason I suggested them having a separate "tab" for the bios, but it would possibly make the interface a bit crowded, and there's no issue with length if it's below everything. :D

Sounds nice! Support as long as only the bio is changed and the main wolf info looks the same.

Yes, please! I'm honestly surprised I can't even center text! I'd like to be able to make their biographies a bit prettier than that strange green box of blah.

Honestly, it shouldn't be too hard to disable certain things like external CSS and the like, so I don't see how this could be an issue. Also, the coding in bios is really finicky I've found, like if you press the bold, for example, too many times, it reads as if you put the code in for it that many times. Another example is how the paragraphing works here on WD, which drives me crazy, since every bit of code counts against your character limit for your bios and every time you hit enter, it's at minimum 8 characters and perhaps more if you had fonts or any other formatting. As someone who understands HTML pretty well, I find the visual editor we have here absolutely maddening in general and never use it on the forums for any kind of code. If you mess up you have to clear the formatting entirely to fix it. Just the ability to view the code would be great, let alone more options to customize it.

@Darklily  -  I'm not good with that sorta stuff, but I still do find it annoying. Like how it jumps like this:

when you press enter, instead of going down just a bit. I've found you can fix this by replacing <p> with <br> but it's still annoying it doesn't automatically start as that <br> thing. So yeah, I agree.
