It's not dependent on real life cycles, it's dependent on the current in-game day cycle. You can see this next to your lead wolf's picture on any page. Daytime shows as a sun, nighttime as a moon. You can see when it's going to change day/night cycles on the Cooldowns page, found through the dropdown menu that is your name on the top left. It'll say Welcome back, _your name_
