SALIGIA CANNOT BE A DATABLE WOLF | TW: Abusive and Toxic relationship/behavior

100%, this outcome respects the opinions of both sides. It's definitely the best way it could have gone

I suppose I'll make one final reply seeing as this thread will no longer be considered.

I believe the decision to include Saligia as a datable is poor and inconsiderate. Saligia did not need to be added as a datable. Between the other 3 added in explore and the 4 added to the pool, they would have easily made up for not adding her. With characters like Saligia, it is difficult if not impossible to entirely distance the character from their toxic traits in a way that is safe and stays true to the character.

While yes, I do believe that adding the option to not interact with her is at least better than nothing, I do find this choice to be incredibly lack luster. There should be a much clearer warning for the user when encountering the wolves, more than a single damn asterisk. Or better yet, an option on the event page to toggle off uncomfortable characters, similar to how lioden allows you to opt out of an event.

Personally, I feel as though the concerns and testimony brought forward by users I this thread have been brushed aside. There is a way to avoid her, but never once was it mentioned why like with so many changes made to the game from user comments. While some in this thread have been respectful about this serious topic, there have been others who have commented as if this was a joke and I am incredibly disappointed to see that type of behavior.
To those who did not feel the need to take this topic seriously, I hope you can come to learn why I felt the need to bring up this topic without having to find yourself in a situation. Abuse and toxic relationships are real, harmful, and even deadly. While you may find it attractive to be shoved around and controlled, those feelings can come with horrible memories and fears from unfortunate people who have been forced to experience how bad human nature can be.
To the admins, remember you will not please everyone but consider how your actions represent yourself and your company. There have already been many questionable decisions made during your development and you have on occasion made up for it. If you can get in contact with a cultural sensitivity representative for native American people, you can get in contact with a triggers representative and have them beta test your decisions. I hope to see more considerate actions in the future.

I don't wish to be contacted about this topic again. Go enjoy your cult leader.

I definitely don't agree with anyone who previously argued that the situation "just fiction", because whether some people like it or not, fiction can still reflect and sometimes even affect reality itself. And things in fiction can trigger emotions in people in real life,. And people who are triggered by things in fiction due to trauma don't need to grow up or get over themselves, like some may try to say.
And I still don't agree with the people who bring up the Faelcu. They're Fae. Immortals who are bored and don't care for mortal morals because well, they're magical, immortal wolf-ish creatures. They exist outside of our realm, and are above and beyond something as subjective as mortal morality. Imagine how ridiculous it would be to them, to see humans trying to argue that being LGBTQ+ is a horrible crime against nature, just because some not-even-originally-English book "said so", when not even everyone believes in what that book claims.
Meanwhile, Saligia is just a bitch. She's mortal, so she doesn't get that excuse. And she goes out of her way, to try and fool the player into thinking they can trust her and she only wants what's best for the world. That's a whole different can of worms that I personally think is just...not actually that comparable to the Fae. The Fae don't even try to fool you into thinking they're good guys. If they were trying to, that dateable Faelcu would look like a normal wolf when you first meet them. They're supposed to be tricky shapeshifters, and you're telling me the best they can do, to try and fool you, is to put on a cloak and a pair of wooden ears, which they take off as soon as you do something that triggers a different expression from them?

But I do think what the developers did here is...kind of the best we can get. They could do it a little better, sure, maybe with a trigger warning for implied manipulation. But it's better than them just, not listening at all and actively refusing to improve a situation, like they are and have been with the stat ceiling problem. Sometimes, you gotta take what you can get

Only thing I honestly want now, is for the rest of the dateables to be encounter-able  in Explore (probs at lower rates, though) like these four Ashen Oath NPCs. So I can deny Brad from the moment I meet him, and maybe have a higher chance of getting the other new wolves (please, Wolvden, let me have the art wolf and the beetle wolf already).
