Cracker seemed to snap out of her daze, she looked at Shiloh, her belly towards the sky. "Did you keep yours?" She asked.

Cracker flicked an ear. "Really?" She said. "I guess I really never thought of changing my name." She looked back up in the sky. "But I've had three names. My litter name, the name my first owner gave me, which was Awful, and the one I was given by my last owner."
She used the word "given", because she genuinely thought of a name as a gift, and some were bad gifts. She chuckled to herself.

Crack shrugged. "Because it has memories I want to keep. My last owner called me Cracker because they're the best! And he nicknamed me Crack because I guess I'm crazy." She said, her wagging tail swishing hard in the grass.
"Opal, isn't a, teeerrrrrible name." She said wincing.

"It's dumb for a dog like me" she grunted licking a drop of blood off her muzzle."you see a pretty pooch named opal kicking another dogs tail?" She mused close to a joke

(He was close to Shilohs personality but yk not a hate of humans and sweet ish,I had a dog named Shiloh to who just happens to be the same coloring as Shiloh here XD opposite personality tho)

(Aw now you're bringing back sad memories of my dogs. My first ever dog I had was a German Shepard named Kono. She was SO fun! But when we moved she got hit by a car and it emotionally damaged me cause she was my only fren. Then I had a German Shepard pit mix named comet, and she was also the best! But there was these neighbor dogs that always bit us, and she  ripped a dog almost in half XD. But after a while we had to give her up and the other people couldn't handle her so they put her down )

(Awwww!
Well my other dog Sadie (Britney spaniel) got hit by a car during a hard time for me,my mom was in the hospital and my dad was basically dead and I nursed that gal back to health with 0 help,very freaking proud of myself for it
And I had a girl named Sasha (pit bull mix) and she was a sweetie but uh- had a biting every stranger to exist problem so she wasn't just put down,she was shot :').
But yea I feel ya!)
