"Well, ain't that interesting. How many?"

Kirra thought back to the last time she'd dealt with missing cattle... and ignored the fact that she'd been the one rustling them away. Still, it'd been years since, and certainly not related to this lot.

"And before I get too involved, please tell me you ain't thinking of doing this... peacefully. Shit ain't gonna get resolved properly if you don't stamp it out before it gets bad."

Rock scoffed, shaking his head. "Ain't nothin' peaceful about my irons." He said. "And maybe I can't tell you yet, you ain't even hired."

"Smarter people have done dumber things. Not to mention, you were boutta hire me, 'fore I asked about getting more than thirty a month. Sides, you up against some other ranch, most likely bigger an' meaner than yous, hm? It'd do to have someone who's in the scene."

She takes another drag, letting the haze cloud her mind for a moment.

"And like I said. If it ain't your ranch, I'll be off to find some other place. You seem a good man, kind and smart with the horses. It'd be shame if I ended up against you."

A pause, letting the words simmer for moment.

"But come now darl, I ain't trying to threaten. I just want a good time. And decent pay."

Wren had been absolutely zoned out walking with misty holding her reigns and then remembering where or what she was doing paused and looked around.

Rock frowned slightly, watching Kirra with care. "They have more cattle, we have more horses." He told her. "I don't give raises much unless I find the hand mighty useful, savy?"

Wren yawned climbing up onto Misty's back and nudging her forward.Fallen obeyed more used to the commands and stuff starting at a walk and then speeding up to a brisk trot allowing the human on her back to guide her.

"I think you should get fair pay if you work fair" Sorren said, glancing away from the fire she was staring so deeply into the embers of, taking a final drag of her cigerette before flicking it into the fire and watch it get swallowed up like it was nothing. Sorren sighed, taking her cap off and raking her fingers through her dark black curls. "I ain't been here very long,  and I know you even less, but you seem like a fair worker to me." the girl shrugged.
