I love reptiles as well! I upgraded my ball python and used his tank to house fish. If you have any questions about betta types or anything you can message me :) |

@Ferny; I've noticed that, reptiles and fishes seem to attract similar folks. I think we just like to look at stuff through glass. xD |

i've had lots of fish throughout the years, but as of now i only have rocky. he's a red crown tail betta and i love him to death! i rescued him from petsmart (he was in a really dirty plastic cup) in february and he's been chillin ever since in his own 3.5 in my bedroom. he is seriously the quietest roommate i've ever had! he loves his plants and hanging out by the water filter. |

I love fish, I had two bettas who both sadly passed this year. One was named Orion, I had him a little over a year before he passed suddenly. Still don't know what caused it. He was my first, had no idea what I was doing but had him set up in a decent 3 gallon tank. Then I learned more through a betta keepers Facebook group and upgraded him to a cycled 10 gallon where he lived for 90% of the time I had him. My other boy was Broski who was blind in one eye and a total opposite of Orion. He passed a couple months after Orion, I didn't have him for very long and I'm not entirely sure what took him either. But I learned so much about these little dudes and when they passed I felt as much pain as when I lost my childhood dog and cats. They may be small but they left a big impact. I think I learned a lot with my time with them and I'm hoping to learn more and try again soon, maybe next year when I've moved out of my dad's house and back into my own place (currently in a transition period after graduating from university, I had my fish when I was still at school). Both boys are currently buried in a couple of my house plants. They had snail friends in their tanks to help with algae and my friend ended up taking them and adding them to her frog tank. Last I heard they were doing very well. |
