New Stud Help?

Hi!!

I have been extremely fortunate today in befriending NBWs...

First I got link, which is a Chased, 1y/o, T3 Wulfenite with 5 markings (one of which is T8). Umbral skin and penumbral nose. He's not a carrier for anything, but given his T3 base and the fact that he is so young with okayish starting stats, I thought he would be good to train up as my next stud if I start him as a Scout now.

Not long after, I got link, just a regular T1 base NBW, but with Chestnut Brown eyes (which I think is NBW exclusive?). But the big thing about him is that he is a carrier for Brachycephaly?!?!?! Amazing luck!!! He is 1 year, 5.5 months old, has worse stats than the guy above, but the mutation.... If I were to make him my next stud, I'd likely buy either a Caribou, Fox, or Badger base app for him. I'd also train him up as a Scout to get his stats up.

I'm just wondering which is a smarter move/which would be more desirable as a stud and would love some opinions please!!

As someone who has a G2 brachy carrier, they don't really get a lot of attention specially after the new MoDs came out.
I would definitely love to see a high stats G1 brachy out there as I need one for a project. That being said, I think you should think about whether you also want to breed brachys or rather have the T3 base

I normally set my studs based on projects that I'm interested in continuing with my stud's line, and this round I had a brachy stud to breed more carriers.
I think the decision should weigh more on whether you want to breed carriers (potential lethals) or T3s.

While there might be a lot of T3 base apps on the TC, they can be quite expensive so your brachy might end up needing 100GC just to get that T3 base for him.

Regardless of what you choose, both options are really good! I encourage you to create a plan for both before you decide as you'll be able to see how much you'll spend to create the vision for each wolf. That way it'll also come down to expenses and how much you'll be willing to spend on your stud plans.
Not that I want to discourage you, but half of the time you don't get enough requests to come out even in your studs spending so thats something to think about when designing them

i personally think the wulf might do u better in the long run. it has 4 pretty great markings already, is super young, and has a breed only base. an NBW brachy carrier is only worth having if most of your pack is also a brachy carrier. otherwise, you'll (at best) breed a couple brachy carriers by breeding him to ur non carriers, but testing each and every single pup for like a 10% carrier chance might end up costing u more in the long run. it might be better to try and sell the brachy carrier for SC/GC/apps so u can level up the wulf (or another NBW T3 u come across!)

These are really good things to consider, thank you both! I think I am leaning toward the chased Wulfenite since it seems like I will have a better chance at getting his stats up and since I'll have to spend less on his appearnce :) I might use a sex changer on the carrier though so I can still breed it!

that said if anyone else has thoughts or opinions, please weigh in, i'm happy to hear all ideas :)
