I think pairbond cooldown is excessively long… and should be 7-15 days instead of 30 days

Yes, please!

If one wolf in a pair dies before the other, the remaining wolf is stuck in cool down. So even if you have another one planned to pair with- you have to wait 30 days before you can give that wolf another partner.

It is really sad.

Not to mention how much the remaining wolf ages during that cooldown. If it is a female, you can miss out on many heats you may have planned with another wolf- as I mentioned above. Yeah, you could do studs, but that is still way different from wanting to keep your lines within your pack- if that is your thing.

It's so horribly long, I think the pair bond cooldown is excessively punishing and I've been saying this for a while now. I recently did a little makeover of my den for a new project, which means I had to break up some wolves. I'm not very educated about the heat cycles here but I'm pretty certain the 30 day cool down has literally knocked heats off my females.

Like the person above mentioned, I breed my lineages just within my own pack. So this cooldown is doubly punishing for people who don't stud, and I feel like it just encourages stud culture even more. I think this game gives the player more opportunities to complete certain projects or be more independent than a game like lioden, where studs are an essential mechanic, so it's kind of frustrating when this cooldown inhibits those potential opportunities to breed only within your own pack or avoid studs.
