I haven't had luck selling him, and he could be very useful for merle RnC.

Alternatively, can someone please remind me at what age a wolf has a chance for age* rerolls?

That'd be 5y 0.5m and up! Chasing at exactly 5y will result in the wolf keeping their age :)
