Suspicious Bird Activity Association

Everyone knows the birds of Wolvden display unnatural behavior compared to normal birds. The prairie bird can tell you where to find untouched carcasses, the woodpecker has it's own hoard of unused carcasses ready to hand out to fellow musicians, and the blue jays are constantly at battle with other birds!  While blue jays have an excuse to fight due to their aggression, that doesn't explain why they would slice off a rabbit's foot and craft it into a trinket to use in more battles. These birds are far too weak to cut through bone or kill other animals with the natural weapons they have. The only explanations? Either these are some buff birds, or there is something else going on. (Definitely buff birds-) 

The one experience I've had that threw me off was when the woodpecker handed me an elk bull carcass. This was a recent experience. I've witnessed it hand me a muskrat and a porcupine on separate occasions, but never such a dangerous and delicious piece of prey such as the elk bull. The most suspicious part about it was that it was at the end of winter! The wood pecker must be running low on food by now, so why would it willingly hand me food that could feed multiple birds for the rest of winter just for a few fleeting moments of music in exchange? How much food could it possibly have that it can donate tons to aspiring wolf musicians? I believe the most baffling part was the moment it handed me the carcass. It was fresh, killed that day, and hadn't been used at all, but definitely dead. That meant that the woodpecker had to kill the elk bull, drag it somewhere safe, or bury it. All of these actions would be impossible for a normal woodpecker to even think about doing, let alone actually carry out. Woodpeckers aren't the only ones displaying disturbing behavior, either. Multiple other birds can give you large, highly coveted carcasses if you interact with them. Does anything link these birds together? Of course.

I personally blame the questing snake for the irregular bird activity. Once I get a shopping list from the snake, the birds love to pitch in and help. No matter the size, difficulty, or worth the carcass has, the birds will help in all of your endeavors. The only remaining question I have for the birds and the snake is how. How can they achieve these goals together? What is really happening behind the scenes? Is there more to these characters than meets the eye?

A recent experience I have had is when a grouse gave me strength, (definitely buff birds). A crow gave a parrot feather in the mountains and a heron gave me 10% energy. A cedar waxwing recently gave me a lucky foot, a turtle shell, and a juicy grub (on separate occasions). I suspect a network of smarter birds (supported by the fact that a blue jay and/or cedar waxing can give a turtle shell/lucky foot and that the turtle's brother was killed by a condor dropping him from a great height) and advanced animal communication as yes, I agree the snake has a part in it. 

According to other player's experiences, A toucan's soothing song can restore your life force. One of the ducks gave me a weasel carcass after searching the river  (like bruh) . 

A snake cult?

(To be honest, I think this belongs in a suspicious snake activity association, but nevermind)

I think that they just have a lot of knowledge, however, they have an unusual amount of money because of quests. I think these snakes have the knowledge to make potions and access to herbs that change fertility. I also think that they get these items from your collect quests, as they always request 1 herb, 1 food item, and 1 amusement item. Another thing is that they still need wolves to kill and do their bidding, as shown by the corn snake with their kill quests (proves that they are probably not deities or have the favor of a Wolvden god). It also goes to show that "they" (the corn snake, unknown about others) apparently hate other snakes as shown by their kill "reptiles" (only reptiles are snakes), and "they" also apparently don't care about which one you kill showing that they hate their species.

Another theory I had about snakes was that they are either specialized deities or only have knowledge in that certain aspect that they work on. For example, if the corn snake was favor by a god or a deity, it wouldn't need your help to kill animals. They also appear to require some payment, suggesting that they can't usually get it themselves. So what I was thinking is that maybe one of them has the power of hypnotism and hypnotized a couple of poor buff  birds. But by then they killed it, the hypnotism wore off, releasing them with a large carcass not knowing what to do with it, as most birds don't usually eat large carcasses. But then you come in. A wolf, needing a carcass, and they give it to you because you need it for your quest to the snake. 

TD;LR (the buff birds are like crewmates that got controlled by an imposter and then the imposter got ejected out of their heads with their recent memories so then they did some things that they didn't do willingly. But then you, the wolf, comes by asking for the same stuff the imposter in their heads ordered them to do and give it to you. ) Please don't eject me if I'm not the imposter :(

Are the birds angry at the snake? Did he send one too many wolves out to fight birds? What role does the swallowing snake have in all this, is he a snake traitor that helps the birds in their cause to give quest items to wolves?

No, it makes more sense that the quest snake commisioned these kills and wants you to go get them for him

No, because he (the questing snake) appears to hate everything, including wolves and birds. But the swallowing snake appears to be at the other end of the spectrum (If you're talking about the one that gives quest items), he/she/it seems to be the opposite, another theory is that it just happened to be in the right place at the right time (meaning on accident), and besides, there's no evidence of him having any part in the sudden appearance of the questing item.

A crow lead me to a caress,what?!I mean what crow does that?The birds are probably  made to do random stuff,apparently.And um,what is the swallowing snake?
