~ Settling Into The Seasons : OOC Chat ~

Summerclan:

Leader: Coalstar - Strong, sleek dark tom with lighter areas, like on his tail tip, left forepaw, and inner ears. Salmon skin and orange eyes, as well as his orange marking on his shoulder that all adult clan cats bear. Two scars on his left thigh and one across his right eye, but it does not impair his sight.

Deputy: Goldenstreak - Tall short-haired she-cat with light orange fur and darker ginger mottling. She has a white underbelly, chest, chin, paws, ear tips, and blaze. Her eyes are a gentle green. She has a long tail with a fluffy tip, and her hind legs are quite muscular. You could say she's built almost like a caracal.

Elders: 
Eaglecry - What was once a large, muscular show off of a tom is now a frail elder, but he still clings to his old demeanor. His coat is that of an orange tabby point, still creamish on the body and darker on the head, but now silvery hairs have grown in around his eyes and muzzle. He proves a test of the medicine cat's patience, with his constant complaints about his daily pains as an elder. He even claims that he knows better than the medicine cat from time to time. But the kits adore him for his fantastical stories about his successes as a Shikari, his role in them blown out of proportion.

Springclan:

Leader: Daisystar - Small thick-furred she-cat with pale cream fur. She has slightly darker lynx points, as well as a white muzzle and a small white blaze. Her eyes are a deep blue, which matches her shoulder marking. She has a knick in her left ear, but it does not bother her.

Deputy: Poppytail -

Healer: Basilsong - Since he is a Siberian cat, most of his color comes from his paws,  face, limbs, and ears. They are a deep chocolate-y color. His body is a creamy-white color, reminiscent of heavy whipping cream. His eyes are an icy-blue, like a thin bit of the ocean. His nose and paws are a sweet bubblegum pink, and his skin is an even lighter pink color. He tends to wear a leaf crown with one red pansy, and a stone armlet on his right front paw.

Shikaris: 
Thistlefang - Lanky female with a scruffy yellow pelt. She is a spotted tabby with white toes, tail tip, and chin. Her eyes are bright green and her nose is dark pink. Though she tries her best to make them seem cool, the notch in her ear and the scratches on her leg are from a fight she got into with a particularly feisty squirrel. She's a Shikari who appears older than she is. Her personality would be best described as prickly, which is one reason her mother named her after the pointy plant (the other reason was her rough-textured fur).

Winterclan:

Leader: Hailstar - Muscular long-furred she-cat with dominantly silver fur, patterned with darker mackerel tabby stripes. She has black markings on her face, like on her chin and over her eyes. She has a white tail tip and hindpaws, as well as a white underside. Her eyes are a bright green, like her shoulder marking.

Snowsplash - Dark gray female, with white undersides that extend all the way up to her face and under her tail. Most of her face is white except for the bridge of her nose, which is dark gray. She has long fur and sparkling orange eyes, and her fur sometimes will floof up around her face when she sits down. She is a rover and has an orange paw on her left shoulder.
Falconfeather - Small grey she-cat with a white stomach, throat, muzzle, and cheekfur. The ridge of her back is shaded a bit darker grey, and she is covered in black-spotted tabby markings. Her tail, naturally bobbed, has a white ring around its base, making it look almost entirely white-- but the tip is still grey with black spots. Her toes on both of her back legs are also white. She has bluish hints of lynx points on her feet and face. Her chin, ear tips, and arches above her eyes are black. The eyes themselves are leafy green, but one is missing. It was shot out by a child's BB gun, not purposefully. Because of this, her eyesight has been greatly hindered (she can still see out of her good eye, but she has a huge blindspot and gets headaches from straining her good eye) and her rank in the clan-- previously Rover-- is being reconsidered. She is cold and distrusting towards outsiders but inside her clan, she's actually quite sociable and gets along pretty well with everyone.

Novices: 

Snowpaw - Weedy male with a wintery white and grey pelt dappled with spots. Some spots seem to be rosettes like those of a Savannah cat, while other, paler blue ones are those of a typical spotted tabby. His fur is whiter along the undersides and darker along his back. The tips of his ears are black, his nose is grey and his eyes are dark. His innocently spotless fur shows how little action he's seen. He is, in fact, a Novice, and would like to be mentored by the Deputy, Blizzardfang. He's playful and very eager to impress, but as a runt, he has little to give. {Blizzardfang}

Autumnclan:

Leader: Maplestar - Lean tortoiseshell tom with long whiskers and tail. He has white toes, hindpaws, ear tips, muzzle, blaze, tail tip, and chest. His eyes are a striking yellow, as well as his shoulder marking. He takes good care of his coat, resulting in it reflecting a nice, shiny gleam.

Shikaris: 
Rosethorn - Burly male with warm cream coloured fur and warm ruddy points. His fur is thicker than it is long and pretty soft for not being a kittypet. Both right paws, front and back, have white toes. His left back leg sports a few small scars and his right ear has a couple of nicks in it. His eyes are deep blue, hinting at possibly a Birman heritage. He is a Shikari with a good amount of experience under his metaphoric belt. He's known to be stoic but fatherly, not inclined to being social but certainly not unfriendly.

Clan Hierarchy

Deputy -  The deputy is the second in command of the clan. They must have had at least one apprentice before they can become a deputy. The deputy may become the next leader when the previous leader dies or is dismissed from the clan in any other way. When a deputy dies, retires, or is dismissed, the new deputy must be appointed within twenty-four hours.

Healer -  The healer cures the sick and injured cats in his/her clan. They also read prophecies, signs, omens, and dreams from their ancestors. They go to the Crystal Cave (located in the middle of the territory of the four clans) every month to share tongues with them. Healers are allowed to take mates, but can not have kits. There is only one healer and their novice in a clan. All healers remain united past clan borders.

Shikaris -  The shikaris of the clan are where most cats rank. They hunt and fight for the clans. They are allowed to have mates and kits. Most shikaris will have at least one novice in their lifetime. When a shikari dies, the clan will bury them and put flowers in the nearest river or stream in remembrance of them (this goes along with any cat in the clan at all). When a novice becomes a shikari, they keep a silent vigil all night and guard the camp during that time.

Rovers -  The rovers are the patrollers, scouts, and spies of the clans. There are only two rovers in a clan at a time, and they usually only train one novice their entire life, if any at all. They are responsible for finding possible threats within the territory or finding out good information from the other clans and relaying it back to their leader or deputy. These cats are usually very agile and silent, and, more often than not, quite small.

Novices - The novices train to be shikaris or rovers. They get a shikari or rover as a mentor to teach them how to hunt and fight or scout, spy, and patrol until they are ready to become the chosen rank. Novices must be at least six months old before appointed. Novices are in charge of bringing moss back to camp, clearing out the nests in the nursery and elders den, and they check the elders for ticks. Some novices are late due to injury, illness, inexperience, or size.

Queens -  The queens are the cats that birth and raise kits. They can only formally be shikaris or rovers since healers can not have kits. A cat can be a queen when they are expecting kits or nursing kits. Some she-cats don't go into the nursery until their kits are almost due. Some queens don't stay in the nursery with their kits. On rare occasions, a she-cat stays in the nursery when she isn't nursing or expecting kits but doesn't want to retire (and acts sort of like a broodmother or nanny for the other queens and kits).

Kits - Kits are newly born clan members. They are usually taken care of by a queen. Kits need to be six months old to become novices. The kits are usually confined to the nursery or space outside of it but are always in the sight of their mother or whoever else is watching them at the moment. Kits can be quite mischievous and are hard to keep track of if not dealt with properly.

Elders -  Elders are retired leaders, deputies, healers, shikaris, rovers, and queens. They retire when they feel that they are too old, or are injured in a way that prevents them from continuing what they used to do, like if they became deaf or blind. Some elders fight when the clan is invaded, others protect kits. They are checked for ticks by novices and their bedding is taken care of by novices as well.

if you couldnt guess already the clans are based off of the four seasons (hence the name)
