Your wolvden strategies

Your wolvden strategies

What kind of personal strategies/systems/rules for yourself do you do on wolvden? Sorry if that's worded weirdly, lol.

Personally for me it's like this:

  • Breed wolves, then get enough territory slots for the pups I want to keep. Only then do I breed again.
  • When my inventory reaches a certain amount of pages (2-3) I sell excess carcasses/craft medicines.
  • I plan on keeping one of each medicine and selling the extras.
  • When exploring, I fight enemies depending on my level + how much HP I have left. If I'm level 12 and have half my HP left I fight enemies up to level 7. At full health I fight enemies up to level 13.

I have a very systematic mindset for everything in my life so maybe other people don't put as much thought into it - but I'm curious!

My strategies are are...

1. I'm clean breeding, so I cannot buy any pups that are inbred or do any inbreeding myself. This encourages me to seek out other players for studding.

2. Build up the markings in my pack through breeding. I can only keep pups with 3 or more markings (with the number increasing with each new generation).

3. Sell all meat chunks found in explore since my hunters bring in enough food for the pack.

4. Do those daily quests!

5. While exploring I only fight foes around my own level (3 above or below) with the exception of needing to fulfill a quest.
6. Make all the open wound meds since that's my most common ailment

My strategies so far :

  • Only breed females on their second heat. They must be over 300 stats too. This is mostly to improve the chances of high stats pups.
  • Always inspect the water hole. You can find a healing salve, which restores 10 hp always, whereas drinking can heal less.
  • Only feed my wolves with food that rots in 1 days, and sell the rests from the day. They do often get sick from it, but it's not too bad since diagnosing gives the herbalist experience.
  • Forage during the day, crafting during the night.

Some of my strategies:

  • Stagger out breeding - no more than one female pregnant at a time (exception made for breedings with a specific goal in mind). I may increase how many I allow as I start getting better marked/statted pups and they're more likely to sell.
  • Sort food by days left to rot - all food with more than 2 days gets buried. Leftovers after eating is traded away or sold to the raccoon. Once food has only 1 day left I sell it to the raccoon unless I'm low on toys and need the bones.
  • Stockpile medicines because my luck is such that demand for them comes in waves.
  • If I have 20+ healing salves I sell them in bundles of 4.
  • Only battle enemies at my level or lower. Don't fight unless within 10 of max HP and have 20% or more energy.
  • Sell all lucky feet.
  • Herbalist crafts replacements for any medicine I've used that day. After those are queued, she crafts according to how many uses of everything I have.
