Taking other wolves with your lead during exploration

Taking other wolves with your lead during exploration

The ability to take other wolves with you during exploration to aid you. Maybe taking only one or two wolves with you max. Taking different wolves could also provide different benefits. Maybe you take a hunter and they increase your odds of successful lunges or help you do more damage and take less damage, you take an herbalist and they heal you after battle, you take a scout and you have a higher chance of getting items during exploring. of course there would need to be drawbacks, a give and take. For example, if you take a wolf with you for exploring they don’t gain extra job proficiency or experience, and the wolves you take during exploration cannot be busy doing other jobs. On the other hand, the higher the level and proficiency of the wolves you take with you, the greater your odds for beneficial things happening during exploration. I feel that adding this could ad a bit more complexity and dynamics to the explore function.

I like that idea. It could also open possibilities if adolescents could come with them

Supporting, as it'd be nice to have certain options.

Like you already semi-mentioned in your post; It could possibly be like a battle buddy system seen on LD during an event even, as one possible idea here? After all, there are some enemies in explore that are exponentially more difficult to fight. Considering the fact that WD is semi-realistic and about wolves, I dare say allowing at least a single travel companion during exploring would make perfect sense. So being able to have "help" during fights against more difficult enemies such as bears would be nice as well, and again, make a lot of sense. Most of the time wolves seldom if ever try to solo against a bear, generally they'll do this in pairs at the least after all.

I just feel like bringing along another wolf would definitely be sensible if making a game that is supposed to reflect semi-realistically on actual wolves. At the least even bringing along a specific adolescent wolf like OddAika mentioned to perhaps boost stats or other benefits for adolescent wolves just so they aren't sitting there. Its already unfortunate enough that adolescent wolves have no function yet (though I'm sure it'll be added some day) despite the fact that in real life an adolescent wolf of 6 months would already be traveling with and learning to hunt with the rest of the pack.

Oh my god I love this. We need a buddy system when we Explore, this is a wolf pack game. I would like to say up to 2, considering we can run into 3-Wolf and 3-Coyote encounters, that would be so nice! Very support!

Ooh I like this! I do feel like it should be a little limited though like energy would deplete from the other wolf as well and they can't be doing other role things while tagging along with lead.

I agree with Kahbinporo's points - either way, support!

I like this idea! I might like it more if the wolves DID gain exp and proficiency, though, or maybe just exp? Because it would be nice to be able to train new/younger pack members.
