Chased Wolf Spotting!!!

Posted 2022-08-08 06:50:08
ohh alright. I didn't really read the previous pages since there wasn't any found wolves listed or anything, figured the conversation didn't really belong here

@ Ivalo✯ it didn't really, but hopefully it stays on topic now. I will now be staying on topic too of the finding of chased wolves

I'm a bit confused, why exactly are we not using this thread anymore? The "new" one serves the same function so I don't understand the move

Idk if im moving or what but just to quickly wrap up for you wink

There were "self imposed" rules in this thread. There was a bit of a scuffle last night about rule-breaking in the thread, a mod stepped in to remind people no begging /fighting about mini modding. Then a handful of players decided to make a new thread with the rules on the 1st post, where OP could ban people if they decide rules are not being followed - since the OP of this thread is no longer active.

You don't have to go to the new thread, this thread will probably settle again soon. Idk what I'm doing. People will probably just split off into threads but NO ONE is being forced to leave this thread <3

(Hope that helps)

The original poster of this thread is no longer active, and there are no set rules, the move is to a new thread with an OP who is active and with rules/guidelines/help/etc. This all came up because people realized that having no mods or rules can be a bit chaotic and messy and could cause problems

Idk, I've always used this thread as a, hey look what I found!
Plain and simple. Never hurts to ask anyone about a wolf they found. A simple I'm keeping or yeah I'll sell, is easily enough

Yeah I mean, What are you planning on doing with it?

Asking if people are keeping/selling is against Wolvdens TOS though. That's why a mod stepped in :(

Well, if you really want to get into it, the rule is that you can't ask for things that aren't for sale. So, asking "what are your plans for the wolf?" isn't technically a rule break. Everyone knows the hidden meaning behind the question but you're not asking to get the wolf, simply asking for the plans. And that technically is not against the rules.

"1.4 Do not outright ask for items/currency/wolves that do not belong to you and are not offered for sale."

There are ways to go around that rule, there's a difference in "Please I'd like to have that wolf" and "Oh wow congrats on finding that wolf! Have you decided what you're going to do with it yet?" The latter could refer to planning to make it a stud for example, and that's not against rules.

Hello again!

Asking generally if someone is keeping or selling a wolf is fine, as that isn't asking for the wolf, just for the finder's potential plans. Directly asking if they can have the wolf/if they can buy it, if it has not specifically been offered up for sale or giveaway in the thread, would be a violation of the begging rule.

We hope that helps clarify!
