when you chase a wolf older than five years, if they're found in explore they'll be assigned a new age. people do this so they can have more time with that wolf if it's found, plus there's the benefit that they get set to gen 1. if you find a wolf that's older than a year or so, you can assume that they're an age reroll because raise and chasers usually chase wolves when they age up.
