Chased Wolf Spotting!!!

@Salem godddd... I agree with you on the albinos/mels, even though I loved them at first. You've seen one you've seen them all.

Slightly increasing the chances for lethal muties in long-lined/inbred wolves would give an incentive to raise their value, helping a lot with the market issues going on. Not that I'm encouraging inbreeding but hey, it happens to real canines, and they're wolf jpgs anyways.

it's crazy how people are breeding wolves in the game here; i was reading even purebred dogs in real life allow a level of inbreeding to an extent, especially show dogs. when the inbreeding is like tucked away on the third page and otherwise the lines are clean, in real life when it comes to animal breeding, that wouldn't tarnish the value of the animal.

I really wish they'd gone for the "inbreeding increases lethal mutations" angle because it makes sense biologically AND people would value IB wolves more. Just a lost opportunity I guess :(

I think we get what you mean, Coyote ^_^ S'all good.

And thank you for your insights, Salem.  Wonderful to read, and very true! xD

Kaz, I also noticed Girlboss 'n I think Girlboss is great ^_^ Nothing on me to breed to 'em yet tho'!

YEAH, i wish multiple times inbred wolves were still valued as cute like they are! one of my favorite wolves i've ever bred is inbred out the wazoo but she's precious to me. i wish there was a chance of more mutations because of that!

@pikachu Yeah, I was kind of surprised at the backlash at inbreeding, as it happens pretty often especially in rare breeds. Same with "big names" like... just think of race or reining horses, you can't find a thoroughbred or quarter horse without some sort of big 70's stud toted in their sales ad.

@pikachu

I grew up with show dogs and that is 100% correct. As mentioned with horses also. ESPECIALLY thoroughbreds! They all trace back to the same lines and that is a PLUS because those were considered strong Genes

Personally if wolves are clean on the first page of lineage that's clean enough to me. Unless there is SIGNIFICANT inbreeding farther back, but mostly I dont even check that.

Assuming we're all able to be adults here, I personally do not enjoy repeating names in lineage or markings, even.  That's a personal preference.  My friends are not that way, 'n it's all good.  I also do not have anything against "big" names - if they're big, they're good/strong wolves, eh? :)

@zeraki I do also hope we can all express our personal preferences without an argument about it 🙂

I understand that alot of people feel like you do which is why I chase alot of the good pups I breed. I want to make the nest wolf possible and then hopefully it comes back!

I got this very good girl back after someone found her.... her heritage before chasing was so bad I dont think ANYONE would have wanted her including me 🤣🤣🤣

Also, about markings. I dont like it when a wolf has for example, black merle in 2 spots... and then it's called a double merle... but its actually the same Merle at basically a higher opacity then normal

I don't care much about big names, unless they're one of two wolves, and even then only if the wolf I might be buying is t3.

- Faelor. He was related to almost every fox a few months back, and even now that the gene pool has diversified, I still have a deep rooted instinct to click away every time I see his name in a t3's lineage.
- Vale the Grulla. I, like many others, adore the Grulla base. And do not like inbreeding. So imagine my annoyance when for three months literally every pretty Grulla ever had his name twice or thrice in their lineage. I'd click on a Grulla up for like 60gc and go "whooo! No one would ever put an inbred wolf up for this much money! I'll offer a lunar applicator, finally, I can get my favorite base in the whole game—" and then I click the lineage to make sure… and he was ALWAYS there. Taunting me. No hate to the owner if you're reading this but eventually I wanted to punch Vale in his little wolf face - how Dare you have so many children, asshole.
It's all good now though. I have a g2 Grulla I love very much and is not related to him. I have won.
