Let Wolves Get Old!

Let Wolves Get Old!

Hello Wolvden,

I bring to you a radical suggestion: letting wolves become elderly. When you retire wolves, it just murders them. If you're like me that just breaks your heart. I'd like to have the option to really "retire" wolves.

I think it would be neat if you could retire wolves at a certain age (say, seven years 4 months, so nearing the end of their life) and they got a sort of grey muzzle overlay, regardless of markings and such so not too hard of a fix. They'd still fill a den space but perhaps eat less food, as old people do.

That's about it!

i support.

i'm ok with the wolves dying at age 8 and at random times when they turn 7 years old.

i like the idea if a new wolf take over the lead the previous wolf has  a grey on its muzzle.  it makes it more realistic.

I support the idea of wolves aging. They still look so young an chipper when they are 7! I'd love some art changes such as grey ticking on the face.

The retirement aspect I'm just on the fence on. Though I don't see anything bad coming out of the suggestion.

i would like it if we get some some grey or other signs of old for wolves that are getting old.

Agreed! I'd love to see the old age of wolves be better represented and embraced! Cause it feels like they go from being young and limber to having only a year left.

Oh I would love that so much! Greying is very apparent on black and dark furred wolves in real life so that would be a neat add on!

Thanks for the interest everyone! Glad I'm not the only one who likes the idea. 💟

It would be lovely to have some overlay to show our wolves are older. It could easily just be something you could turn off/on from your profile too.

Support! It would add to the realism aspect and would be more visually appealing. :)

Maybe for dark bases like black the graying is on the paws and ears as well? I know in darker dogs (not sure about wolves but Its probably similar), they start to gray all over. It would be nice to see that here too!
