Hi, I find that the hunting quest can be difficult to complete due to the limiting factor of only hunting once every 30 minutes.  I run into the issue when I work 12 hour shifts and I can imagine there are other users with the same situation.  

If I can explain, 12 hours of work leaves about 4 hours of free time in a day, while a quest to complete 9 hunts takes a minimum of 4.5 hours, given 100% success and a watchful eye on the clock. You might not complete it even with an awesome hunting team.  So here are a couple ideas to help with this.

Perhaps we could be given a choice between different hunt quests to complete such as:

  • Complete 9 hunts
  • Complete 6 small or larger trail hunts
  • Complete 3 medium or larger trail hunts

This could be particularly rewarding to players who have built up great hunting teams.

Another possibility is we could be given a choice between the type of quest to complete (hunt, fight, or collection).

Any other suggestions for a solution are welcome. Edit: Devs request one suggestion per topic, but feedback is welcome.

I support! Sure, you get a few days to complete the quest, technically, but then you get ~100SC for two or more days of work, rather than just one, and that's frustrating. And I can think of a lot of ways to reduce the problem. I like the idea of having a different number depending on what kind of hunt you go after - when I have hunt quests I only go after critters, because those pretty much never get away. But then I don't get as much food. 10 successful critter hunts can bring in less food than two successful small hunts, depending one what you catch. 

I've seen another suggestion on the board about being able to send out more than one hunting party at a time, which would also help. Even being able to send out two at a time would cut the required time in half. 

And there's a suggestion about getting a new quest immediately if you take more than one day to finish the first one. That wouldn't exactly fix the problem, but it would make it a lot less frustrating, I think.

@hollowworld7 Thanks!  Yeah, it can be frustrating to be locked out of a quest for a day since it’s a core method of gaining sc.  I was hoping my suggestion could bring more accessibility to it.

I really like those suggestions, thanks for bringing them up!  (Although I remembered that the devs requested only one suggestion per topic so imma make a tiny edit to my post lol)

I like this idea a lot! I think this would balance the difficulty a lot better, like it's still a challenge but it's not impossible for a working human.
