As it is now, the smallest 1 use food items still replenish 10% hunger, and that intrinsic value means they're most often used as quick cash at the raccoon, (being some of the best things to sell for price/use) or perhaps in quests (I personally havent needed them) And yet, at the same time, a lot of people complain about nursing female leads in explore losing that little bit of hunger from random explore encounters before rollover, causing you to incur puppy survival penalties unless you use a 10% giving food item to feed 2, 3, or 4% hunger. Really, it's still more worth it to sell the eggs and just buy a cheap pupsitter. I feel like refactoring the smallest food items into a unique category of "morsels" that give only 5% hunger, or creating new food items to fill that role (maybe bugs that adolescents can eventually catch??? hello??) Could help solve their complaints or perhaps more drastically (but easier to code??) Refactoring all food items to have double the uses and only refill 5% hunger would solve the same issue and allow users to more precisely manage their pack's hunger Idk I just feel like theres a solution here that would encourage players to use and eat food to solve their hunger issues but the current system really drives you to sell small food items for the sc so they really might as well not BE food Any edit to the food and feeding system would require decent recoding but not much else in the way of art, etc |

I personally like it how it is set up currently with it's even and predictable numbers lol There is another animal sim that drives me nuts with their uneven food values. You constantly have to think and pay attention to who gets what food in order to waste as little as possible. |
