How To Check For Albino/Melanism Carriers

can anyone confirm if these are mela pups from the scry I did on one of my wolves? edit: I scried the male with at least 3-4 confirmed mela carriers and got similar results, each 2/5 or 3/5 scries with a mela pup. Safe to say he most likely is a carrier! :D |

Just a general question, but how many times would you have to use the scrying stone to determine if a wolf is a carrier? |

Its completely at random. You could scry a wolf once and get a mute on the first try and then scry the same wolf five more times and not get another mute to show up at all. |

1/2 attempts if you scry them with a mut wolf |

Scrying with a mute wolf doesn't guarantee a carrier though |

Why would it be increased chances with a mutie tho? |

The reason you can generally scry less times with a mutated x carrier is because mutated x carrier has a higher chance of producing a visibly mutated pup during breeding. |

The only random mutations are the lethals not including Brachy Albinism, Melanism and Brachy are recessive, so if you have two wolves that carry the gene, there's a chance a mutated pup will show up from scrying. Here's the pass rates for hidden genes: Non Carrier x Non Carrier = 100% Non Carrier |
