I literally bounce out of the lab with my new pokepony by my side. Off on a new adventure! Let's see what I can find.

The pokeball shakes once, twice before the pokepony breaks out of the pokeball and the slowpoke flees back into the safari

Gently petting Nightshade, I reassure him that we'll catch a buddy for him soon, and have him take lead to see what he can find, whistling as we continue to explore.

The pokeball shakes once, twice before the pokepony breaks out of the pokeball however instead of fleeing it looks at you curiously. Maybe you should quickly throw another pokeball before it leaves.

Holding another pokeball, I  cautiously approach, gently talking to them, guaranteeing food, shelter and friendship, offering the pokeball, button-first, if they want to join myself and Nightshade.
