Challenge Problem: Carbon dioxide in the air of a spacecraft can be removed by reacting it with lithium hydroxide, following the balanced equation of CO2(g) + 2 LiOH(aq) 🡪 Li2CO3(aq) + H2O(l).  On average, a person will exhale about one kilogram of CO2 per day.  How many grams of LiOH are required to react with 1 kilogram of CO2, so that CO2 will be completely consumed (be the limiting reagent).
