Regardless of hybrid opportunities, dogs are indeed a member of the Wolvden Realm. Even if they only ever exist as some floof amusements, it's wonderful to see they have a place here. 

What do y'all think? Is this just an amusement item, or a small hint of something bigger?

I honestly hope it's a hint of something bigger. Having the first hybrid option released so soon would be too good to be true I think.

I can't help but feel the *smart* thing to do would be to wait until around November/Christmas to drop the first hybrid, if they did it now its significance would be lost on a lot of newer players (who haven't played say Lioden)

id be so happy if wolfdogs and coydogs were added!

I was thinking that same thing when I was in the explore tab! Wolf x dog hybrids and Wolf x Coyote hybrids would be so cool, especially as the first hybrid of the game around Christmas!

I hope there are hybrids with coyotes and dogs, too! That would be amazing. The presence of a dog skin in the game is pretty encouraging imo. 

Though, all of our wolves might have some dog in them if their noses are pink and their eyes are blue, right? :'D (JK, I'm not actually taking genetics that seriously.)

Anyhoo, I wonder what wolfdogs would look like in this game? There are a lot of possibilities for different dog breeds to be the non-wolf parent!

i'm very curious how they'd add wolfdogs with such potential diversity, especially since they'll have to come up with some reason for merle to exist lmao. show me the aussiewolves! 

It probably is related to the enemy encounter, it's probably a trophy! Though it'd be fun to see if they do do something more with dogs.
