former pack members keep their background and decors

@ coyote # 3376 thanks for understanding my idea. i'm leaving it up to the wolvden team how they want to add my idea to the game. |

I figured, but my personal support is just conditional on those things. I don't think adding a warning would be a challenge or anything lmao |

of course not. for me i prefer my wolves to keep their decors and backgrounds when they pass. i don't think this idea would be hard for the wolvden team to add. |

Highly support. I put a lot of work into buying decor for the wolves I care about the most, and when they end up in my dynasty, it's a little sad to think they won't be able to be viewed with the backgrounds and decor I chose for them. And this isn't an issue for me personally, but for more lore-focused packs, things like the scar decors could be an important part of a wolf's lore. Removing that after they pass on just sucks since a scar is, in the lore, supposed to be a permanent change to a wolf's appearance. |

@thistle #29533 thank you for your support. it means a lot to me. i know some people put a lot of work into decorating their wolves. removing the decor would be an option. you can choose to remove the decor and backgrounds if you want to. |

I support the entirety of this idea. I haven’t read most of the replies, but Thistle's reply is essentially what I was going to say. I play Wolvden mainly for the lore, so it would be really nice to see wolves in the dynasty keep their items. The item can still be considered used, idc. Also, for wolves that are alive, having them keep their bgs and whatnot would make the gift of giving even more fun. <3 |

@kittykookiez # 34644 thank you for your support. it means a lot to me. of course the idea is the that when wolves die they keep their decors and backgrounds. you can also give decor and background in wolves in your dynasty. you have the option of removing the decor and backgrounds if you want to. i haven't traded a wolf with a decor and background. i'm not sure if they keep they decor and background when they get traded. |

Could I offer an alternative? What if when they pass, depending on stats, they're given the option to dress up with unique afterlife items? I haven't personally had any wolves pass yet, nor do I have any immortals, so I may be misunderstanding something. If you have a super high-level wolf pass away, maybe they get more options for backgrounds, small decor, fancy halos, and a few wings options. A low-level wolf might only have a basic-looking foggy background, and a small halo just to show they've passed. Could even take away the kind of religious halo aspect and give them a special... "token of passing" of some kind, like funeral attire (skulls, candles, bundles of herbs maybe?). Basically, if your wolf dies, they get special decor to be used in the after-life, and nowhere else. The items can't be traded or accessed outside of the passed wolf, so there's no harm in it, and it would give people another reason to level up wolves before they pass to say "Look at your ancestors. See your future rewards. Make your dynasty proud." Right now, I'm not super invested in older wolves, and I'm scared to see my wolves go, but having something to look forward to might be interesting. People who want to save images of their wolf in current decorated form should do so anyway, because you never know if the wardrobe will malfunction or break. I don't think many people look at dynasties unless people really link to it for lore reasons, so unless they have a better way to present them, there's no point in keeping their decor there. |

Sounds like a good idea, i cant really argue with anything here really ^^ It somewhat feels a little nuanced to keep adding or taking away the decor after they have died but it wouldnt do anything harm that I see |

def support, it makes me a little sad to know that my lead that I decorated all nice and pretty will lose her decors, and I plan to keep all my lore members in my dynasty (or until I can draw them on my tablet for future ref) so there'd a good bit of plain wolves that had decors attached earlier. |
