Stuck on quests?

Hello! I seem to be stuck on quests? I did my life quests there in my den, and the explore with Tala - but I haven't gotten past that point. I'm not sure if I did something incorrectly or what. I can't do the quest to learn how to breed and I can't finish the quest for hunting as I don't have the ability to hunt. :') Please help.

To clarify the above: i don't have any indicators of how to complete "the Next Generation" nor can I finish "time to hunt"
