Increase (or remove) the monthly restriction of pair-bonded breedings

I've been thinking and had an idea What if breeding to an outside stud offered a small incentive like a small reward for choosing to to stud out Now I would right off the bat rule out mutation benefits along with special bases and markings as I think this would tip the scalls in the wrong direction and take away from those who have worked really hard for their special studs But something small like an item or maybe a nesting material I'm mean your wolf leaves your territory to go find a stud and finds something along the way it wouldn't drop every time but would give a small incentive to maybe stud out a bit more I think it would help the market a bit without taking away from pair bond breeding or from the high class studs that players have put a lot into Will it help studs like mine or those of new players maybe maybe not but I do think it will help the stud market even if they removed the pair bond cap |

There already is a lot of benefit/incentive to breeding to an outside stud. I mean, someone else is raising that stud for you - you don't have to feed it or play with it and you didn't have to spend any GC to make it. A lot of studs are 10M, which is hard to breed, meaning a lot of them have had GC spent on them to fill in their empty slots, adjust opacities, and just tweak them to perfection. My own stud, Meziki, cost me 20GC just to buy. I also spent the GC required to retire my lead, GC on customizing Meziki to make him a 10M, food and amusement on Meziki when he was little and I was gathering currency to retire my lead, healing salves leveling Meziki, and all the SC, herbs, and cures I've spent on that doofus keeping him illness-free. (Next lead is gonna be a scout first 'cause screw battling and healing salves.) But, when I first put him up, he was 200SC or 2GC to breed for everyone else - super cheap in comparison. (He's 300SC or 3GC now, since he passed 600 stats.) Surprisingly, this is the one instance I can say such an expensive endeavor ended up paying for itself - he sold out of slots twice and almost out two more times and still gets requests if I advertise enough. There's also, of course, avoiding stat inbreeding - outside studs make it easier to avoid inbreeding if you want stats, since scouting is the only role with good, consistent XP and that's only two wolves per pack. My hunters, who have been maxing their hunts every day since they could be assigned the role, only just hit 13 today. They're all 3y1m old. My scouts are going to be 17 within the next few days and are 2y5m - and that's with me constantly forgetting to send them out to scout. Kinda hurts your ability to stat breed without the help of other users. It also cuts out any wait times, since you can go find an adult, ready-to-breed stud right now, whereas a pup you buy you may have to wait to age up. Variety is there too - there are over 100 bases in the game and I'm sure the marking count is even higher. No way one person is going to have everything in their pack, nor find everything they want in the TC. Even if they can find everything they want in the TC, it might be cheaper to breed to someone else's stud than to buy the puppy if it's something special. For example, when I bought Meziki, if I'd wanted him for personal breeding purposes I 100% could have just found a better Cool Light II stud for 1GC breed. (Honestly just bought him because I wanted a pretty blue wolfie as my lead, but, y'know, him bringing in the monies is a great bonus.) |

It's true you don't have to care for or senp currency to maintain an outside stud but that's what the stud fee is for and as you said your stud has more than paid for himself and considering what you put into him it's well earned and I'm sure you are saving a lot of currency with pair breeding But for casual and new players like me our studs won't bring in that kind of revenue I've actually had a drop in my SC intake I never studded out much to begin with and now that I'm longer getting the stud requests I'm loosing revenue and its taking longer to save up for thing I'm sure it's easy for players like you to get SC but as for me I don't rollover every day I almost never max out my hunts and what I do get goes to feeding my pack I've never hit the racoon wears sell cap in fact most days I don't sell more than 50SC worth I don't always finish my snake quest in one day so yeah that once in a while stud made a difference for players like me I really hope that the staff and creators care equally for all their players I will probably never have a high value stud like yours but for all players like me I really hope some kind of chance is made to help balance the stud market |

I rarely reach the raccoon wares cap and it's not uncommon for me to fail the snake quests due to not having or wanting to shell out the SC for snake skulls if I don't wanna do fighting quests or lack the energy and time for hunting quests. I've been on the site since early access. The only reason I ever reach points where I have a lot of SC is from slowly saving up. Each day I ferret away 1/2 of the SC I make into the buried section of my hoard for safe keeping, and as the days go by that slowly begins to stack up. I don't mind having to save up SC over multiple days like this, because it gives me something to focus on long-term, and long-term helps me keep interest in everything else that's all short term. What I do have trouble with is how hard it was to get SC during the beginning. Certain aspects are simply too expensive for new players imo. If anything I think the cost of stuff like some things in the raccoon wares, and cost of diagnosis for herbalist, should be bumped down so that newer players that will have less resources to spare for SC aren't struggling all the time like I was. However I do feel that having to save up SC over multiple days to be able to buy things that are pricier is something fair, and would not want that aspect changed. More I'd want the costs of SC where it'd matter most for newer players that will undoubtedly have less to start with less to worry about so they have an easier time than I did. |
