which means that he is a confirmed carrier. A carrier x non-carrier = 10% POTENTIAL melanism CARRIER, not ensured melanism <3

Well it could also be argued that the melanism could come from the maternal side and not the paternal side, how do you know?

you can't make a mutation unless you have two carriers. which means both mom and dad were carriers. which therefore makes carrier dad able to produce a carrier offspring with a non-carrier at a 10% chance
