Support. I had been planning for ages to have my breeding male and female for both my lunar and solar wolves to be immortal, as to follow my lore of the wolves no longer being mortal at all. Finding this, only to find out that I cannot immortalize my lead who is also my stud, whom I spent ages on preparing him to be immortalized, is crushing, and hurts my lore. From this, I learn that wolves I care about shouldn't be my lead, rather, and it is punishing to those who have lore about wolves not dying.
At the very least, there should be some sort of warning that leads cannot be immortalized upon choosing a lead or in the flavor text of the jellyfish.
Total support. This feels like something that should have been implemented but was forgotten somehow, it came as a surprise to me when I found out that it wasn't possible. I know some people who have lore that specifies that their wolves were/could become immortal (like some of the previous posts have mentioned) and it's really demotivating to find out that it isn't possible.
I had plans to introduce proper lore to my pack involving immortality, and if my friend hadn't pointed this out to me sooner I would have made the mistake of making an important character lore-wise my lead, leading to their death (no pun intended).
I really believe that this is something that should have been added a long time ago, seeing as it isn't something specifically said anywhere, so it would be very easy for a majority of the community to make this mistake. Implementing this wouldn't change much at all, just wolves that were previously leads being able to become immortal like the rest of the pack. I'd always imagine that they would become just like the rest of the pack too, living forever in the dens as you pick your next lead. It's really disappointing that this isn't a feature at the moment, and if staff are too set on not having this be an option, please just at the very least add a warning. Finding this out when you had plans to make your lead immortal can be incredibly upsetting.
Accidentally just made a post about this not knowing it had been suggested before! But I 1000% support this. Not being able to immortalize your main wolf is SUCH a heartbreak.
Its so dissapointing. I forgot that lead wolves cannot be immortal. So i took too commisions just to make mine .. and all for nothing realy. Im my opinion thay shuld be somehow preserved without any exrta effort. They are lead wolves after all, thay 100% suntemental for a lot of people, how is it you cannot in any way keep em? Its so cuntrudictory.. its okey, if you cant have one lead wolf forever, but do them proper justise. Like it whuld be cool just to have something like "resting leaders page" were you can just look at them with all of their decor and add new. Closer to a usual wolf page, but no playng, feeding, breeding etc. Maybe with some statistics on it, instead of stats. I think that what most of people are be more of less happy with. I am also sad that if i will cuntinue playing, my lead wolf is a goner anyway, i dont feel like thay will ad any features regarding that soon enogh.. and its not like it will brake the game in any way.. Why wasnt it made a thing from the start :(
