Ability to remove wolves from caves

Ability to remove wolves from caves

I've always thought that it was odd that you can put wolves in a cave, but you can't remove them from a cave. The only way that we can make wolves caveless is by destroying the caves that the wolf belongs in, but that wastes resources. I also think that there should be a caveless option for wolves because real wolves do not use caves or dens other than for rearing pups (westernwildlife.org). Caveless wolves could also work as an extra sorting method for users that have maxed out the number of caves. I think that it also just makes sense that if you can put something in, you can take it out just as easily.

Thanks for considering my idea!

From what I recall, caveless wolves can spread illnesses across all the other caves, which is a big glaring issue. Personally I just think adding a few extra cave slots would be better than allowing caveless wolves- what is the benefit of leaving a wolf without a cave, barring another sorting method (since an argument for a couple more caves has been brought up already on other threads?)

I don't really see a benefit other than that it is an unofficial extra sorting method and that it just makes sense. I don't have a problem with illness in my pack, so I can't really relate to the spreading issue.

I do think it's weird that you can't make a wolf caveless. Even without a benefit, I still think it should be allowed. I will support this, alongside wanting more caves in general.

Support!

While there isn't any big rewards (other than making a flea party) with being able to unsort a wolf, I reckon it should be possible! Sometimes you just want to reorganize completely and start fresh (especially for folks with 100+ wolves. Being forced to destroy every cave for that seems a little drastic! ^^;

Support! I seriously thought you could and then I tried and it sucks that you can’t!

You can make them caveless. Just tap on unsorted wolves in the cave settings

I'm not sure if what you mean by that. If it is possible, it'd still  require you to have unsorted wolves to start with. I'm sure that it's an unintended feature.

You start out with unsorted wolves, and that's fine, but if they have a disease that spreads, they will give it to all other wolves, whereas if they are in a cave they will only spread it to those members.

I see the disadvantages of having unsorted wolves. I just think that transferring wolves to caves should be undoable without destroying caves.  There's no benefit to doing it other than another additional "cave".
