Befriending Wolves

Hi there! I just started playing yesterday and I've come across a few wolves...and haven't been able to befriend any (except the one you automatically get). Any tips? I feel like I'm not quite understanding the mechanic because I never make the right moves.

Welcome to the site! I'm not sure if anyone has offered any help yet but I find the Grouse House's Befriending Table to be quite helpful when it comes to finding wolves in explore.
