What do you love about Wolvden so far?

Posted 2020-09-30 11:04:48

I love the higher difficulty and the strategy needed, first off! I absolutely love the different roles wolves must take on and I think they really make the game. Others have said this too but I also love being here at the beginning, and I can't wait to watch Wolvden grow and change as time goes on. I love experiencing it along with everyone else. Personalities are really fun, too. The devs have been so responsive and quick, it's amazing. And finally, I love red wolves- I know a lot of people don't like that bright color on a wolf, but personally I've fallen for the little fire truck-looking woofs; they're my favorite!

I love love love herbalism. I love the different herbs from different biomes, I love the image of an herbalist wolf mashing them together in a shell or a rock under the guidance of a wise herbal bear to come up with remedies. I hope they add special recipes like immune boosters or fertility augmenters, or maybe energy drinks as the game progresses. I just think it's the coolest thing.

Biomes are also super cool, and the different species and items that can be found in each one.

I enjoy that personalities have an effect on the game and I also appreciate that hunting parties work better as they build synergy together.

@Magmis I understand your red wolf love, I had plans to make my lead a coyote-like wolf and discovered green wolves were a thing and I'm in love. There are too many beautiful colors to appreciate and desire but that is definitely a good thing.

I love the simple, dog-like markings. Irish, husky, shepherd, ticking.. They're all so cute and good. I hope we get more like them. Also the abundance of yellow bases!!

I also like how stats of individual wolves actually matters now, and the personality synergy is so, so good. Plus being able to create a wolf instead of roll for one, haha.

The weather, season and daytime effects! Makes exploring so much more dynamic and nice when the art changes once in a while.

The ART, for one! It's so excellent! Even super basic wolves look amazing. And I think it's more difficult than LD, which I like a lot- it feels so good when you succeed because failure is possible!

A little thing, but one I appreciate immensely. Dawn and dusk in explore. The first time I explored through the night and then saw that glow of sunrise was so surprising, but oh-so-satisfying.

Edit: Also, though it might add more difficulty, I also love the more intricate nature of hunting and scouting. The more my pack interacts with the world, the more important and lovable they seem.

Eons ago I played lioden a lot, for a long time, and I really liked it - but I already love wolvden even more! As others have already said, I like that it is clearly gonna be more of a challenge. I love that the pack roles, as well as the pack leader, can be either male or female wolves. I love how the wolves do their jobs, and are all able to lose HP in various ways. And I love a lot of the bases and markings.

probably how fleshed out the game feels (in comparison to when I tried to play lioden);;

I like that personalities play more of a role in how hunting works out, befriending wolves to join your pack. it feels like there is a lot more depth to the game which I am *really* enjoying. I was excited to log back on this morning and continue gathering members for my hunting party (I've been real picky about it). I'm very excited to stick around & I'm actually bullying my friends into joining me, since I'm sure they'll enjoy it too! :3c
