here is another theory about it, its believed Tala's young is Nobaby who she lost when he was just a pup and shes in dream land looking for it

Also the fact that Tala has been around for generations and never seems to die or grow old. I'm almost on my third lead now and she hasn't aged a day despite the fact that she was teaching my very first lead years ago...
