Allow immortal wolves to enter pair bonds

Allow immortal wolves to enter pair bonds

Hello!

I've had this thought for quite a while, because I'm very attached to one of my bonded pairs in particular, and would like to make them both immortal when they get too old because I don't want to lose them (and I'm sure I'm not the only person in this kinda situation)

I obviously do not want to break them up either, but, from what I understand (I do not have any immortal wolves yet, and though I've searched and searched I cannot find any official information regarding this on Wolvden, so I am relying on what I have been told by other players) immortal wolves cannot be bonded even with other immortal wolves, and I can't see any good reason for this.

So this is my suggestion:

1. Allow immortal wolves to enter a pair bond with another immortal wolf.

2. If a wolf who is in a pair bond is made immortal, it should not break the bond, but give you some kind of option to make the other wolf in the bond immortal as well.

3. Alternatively, making both wolves immortal would still break the bond temporarily, but allow you to re-bond the two immortal wolves (either immediately or after the regular pair bond cooldown time, though I don't really see the need for a cooldown on immortal wolves since they cannot breed or anything anyway?)

4. Obviously, male-female bonded pairs between immortals would not be able to do pair bond breedings! The only thing that would change is that immortal wolves would still be listed in a pair bond on their page.

I do realize this would have no effect on gameplay, and is purely a lore based suggestion, but to me and many many others, lore about our wolves is a very important part of Wolvden!

And since immortal pairs still would not be able to breed, it's not an addition that could be abused or exploited.

I am not sure how much coding would be required to add this to the game, as I am not a programmer, but I hope it wouldn't be that much since it's a relatively small thing.

Thank you for considering my suggestion!

support!

It adds no unfair advantage and it sucks for people that are invested in lore for their packs to have to break bonds like that

Support! I'd like to immortalize my lead (eventually, when the option is added) and his mate, so I'll need this feature.

Support! It's a nice little addition for players to use for lore - the same as same sex pair bonding.
