Hey there everyone, Is it better to try and buff wolves' stats by putting them in roles that match their weaker stats? Or are we supposed to pair them with jobs that match their strongest stats, and then try to pair them with wolves that balance out those bad stats with strong stats? I've been trying the first option to see if I could balance some wolves' stats, but I am leaning towards that not being ideal? The game seems to load up stronger stats with more points when leveling up -- leading to very unbalanced stats. Lmao, drives me a little crazy. Have any of you noticed any patterns? Similar experiences? Different ones? |

It depends on what you're after. If you were to breed two good chasers together, for instance, you'd get puppies that were already well-suited to being chasers. But if you want balanced stats in your pups your best strategy would either be a lot of patience in swapping hunting roles, or scouting (which can boost any stat depending on where they scout). Breeding two wolves with different best stats might work but it can also result in pups who are pretty average in every stat. |

i think tbh its how the game is intended. different stats make wolves more suited for different roles, but consequently also wolves will become top heavy in the stats that their "job" correlates too. imo having a wolf that is top heavy is better than a wolf who is well rounded. two 400 stat wolves. one is mediocre or balanced in every stat, the other has super high strength but lower stats. for me, the one high in strength would be more appealing as they're already well suited to be a finisher in a hunting team. vs a wolf with balanced stats.. they just kinda start at a disadvantage imo due to being so mediocre and not standing out. putting them in any position means that they're "behind" so to speak. a wolf with 100 strength & then lower other stats would be an excellent finisher, and would be ahead of the balanced wolf who has 60-70 in all stats. for instance wolves with: so essentially with wolves being better at their jobs depending on their stats, the game is intended to try and have more top heavy wolves vs balanced wolves, because wolves need a specific stat depending on what they do ^^ I don't think the game is intended for balanced wolf stats because it just wouldn't suit the game tbh. and by attempting to balance, you sorta cause medicore wolves that aren't suited for anything. that does allow some freeness in terms of you can stick em anywhere, but then they're also disadvantaged compared to a wolf which is ahead in the required stat |
