Mutation Theories?

I'm wondering if, since we have merle markings, we might get double merle as a mutation. Irl, if a dog gets two copies of the merle gene they come out mostly white, and usually deaf and/or with eye deformities. Edit: I see folks talking about fox hybrids. I don't see that happening, they seem to want things somewhat realistic and those are impossible irl. |

Reading the posts and comments I'd say no hyena or fox hybrids. They're physically impossible. As for my ideas, I have a list of ideas somewhere in my phone. I'll have tons of recommendations once they post the board :) |

I think several mutations that we already have in LD are a possibility, like folded ears, patches, overgrown fangs/nails and maybe even dwarf. And also WD's version of primal, could be the direwolf indeed. I don't think we will see a hybrid anytime soon, but we could start with more general/typical wolfdog hybrid - and later get other types of wolfdog. Like how LD has a different kind of primals. |

Desperately wishin' for an overgrown fangs. Need a woof with dem TEEF. Tailless would also be incredibly adorable. Overgrown fur also sounds hilarious to me, if for nothing else than I just imagine a wolf as a rather large maltese. And for the season finale, the crossover everyone has been waiting for, the wolf x lion hybrid. |

I'm okay with a wolf/dog mutation done like primal but someone said have it fade out after breeding with non mute or maybe have the pass rate decrees I think this would keep the value up and prevent the market from becoming over run But personally I would rather see a more exotic hybrid for the first one |

I wanted to make a list of some things that could be possible:
Foxes are too distantly related to wolves to hybridize, Hyenas are too. Sadly, Hyenas are also Feliforms (a lion hyena hybrid would be more likely (still impossible)). That being said, "Borophaginae" (known as "bone-eating" dogs) probably looked very much like hyenas, and would be a fantastic primal idea. I don't know if those hybrids would ever be considered (although I agree, fox-dogs would be adorable). |

I agree that the hyena/fox hybrids would be unlikely, but I can dream! I also super want dwarfism. And tail variations! I can also see that mutation with the short/no neck happening. That occurs in dogs pretty frequently. I dont know if people would like it though haha! |

I agree that the "Baboon Dog Syndrome" may not be universally liked. It's not uncommon for lethal mutations to be a bit unsightly, though, so I think it would be okay. Haha |

I think “primal” wolf forms would be cool as the following
