Haldir smiled and nodded, “indeed it is,” he told her with a smile. They soon made it to the huge rock wall. He took Madison’s hand after putting his ring on. Then he walked through the wall, entering the magical forest, there were fairy’s and magical flowers everywhere. He smiled, greeting all the fairy’s who greeted him, he also introduced Madison. Soon they were at the castle. As they entered, his mother ran up to him, giving him a hug. Then looked at Madison, confused. “Mother, this is Madison, Emma’s daughter,” he told her with a smile. She smiled and gave Madison a hug. Haldir smiled and then frowned when he saw the look on his fathers face when he walked over. “Why did you bring her here?” He asked in the elf language. “She needed to see what it’s like, and it’s about time for her father to meet her,” he replied back in the language. His mother butted in, “Elric, enough!” She yelled in the language as well. “We have a guest,” she said in English. “Haldir. Son. Your father got Athena back for you, she’s in the stables,” she told Haldir. Haldir smiled, looking at his father and then nodding in respect. “I’m sorry, I know you couldn’t understand some of that,” he told her with a laugh.

He led her to the stables. He opened the doors and dragons were flying everywhere. “Athena!” He yelled. He heard a dragon shriek, and one of the dragons flew down from the high ceiling and came as fast as lightning right towards Haldir, she wasn’t going to stop. “Oh no, I would move out of the way if I were you,” he told Madison with a laugh. The very large dragon, tackled him and began licking him. “Okay, okay!” He said as he was laughing. The dragon stopped after awhile and looked at Madison, confused. “Well. Athena, meet Madison. Madison, meet Athena,” he said with a smile. The dragon slowly nodded her head, as in saying hello. 

“Well hello Athena, it’s very nice to meet you,” laughed Madison as she stretched out her hand so Athena could smell her. She just hoped that the dragon didn’t find her as a threat,”I can understand a few words but not much. But I think your father wasn’t happy that I’m here,” sighed Madison as she looked at the ground. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea for her to come here, his mom seemed to welcome her but his dad not so much.

Athena let out a type of sound that was almost like a purr from a cat. “ I think she likes you,” he said with a smile. He scratched his dragons neck and then looked at Madison with a frown. “He’s always like that. I shouldn’t have brought you here,” he told her with a sigh. “It’s too dangerous with the war going on, and if anything happens to you it’s going to be my fault,” he told her. He looked away. He would be heartbroken if anything bad happened to her. 

“Like I told you on the bus, I know how to handle myself thank you very much. Didn’t you say earlier that your mom can make my dads ring fit me so I could wear it and when do you think I can meet my dad,” asked Madison as she gently rubbed Athena’s nose before going to scratch her neck. At least another member of Haldir’s family welcomed her.

Haldir nodded and then sighed. “But you’ve also got to realize, this is more than just archery in school. It’s actually killing things,” he told her. He was sure that she could handle it, but he was just scared. “We also use magic,” he added. Athena licked Madison’s face, as a sign of affection towards her. Haldir smiled. He then looked at Madison, “my mother can probably do that right now,” he told her with a smile. He then thought for a moment, “he’s probably sorting things out with my father right now, but I will try to find him,” he told her with a smile. Haldir walked over to a bucket with raw fish in it, he picked one up and tossed one in the air to Athena. She dove up and caught it. “Alright girl, we will be right back,” he told her and started off to the castle. 

“Easy Athena. I’ll see you later ok, and easy on the licks will ya,” laughed Madison as she walked back to the castle with Haldir. “Could you fox my dad’s ring, I want to be able to wear it. But it’s too big for me right now,” sighed Madison as she took off her ring and handed it to Haldir’s mom.

Haldir’s mother smiled, “of course I can,” Amara said happily. She held it up in her hand and then lifted the other, she moved her fingers and she resized the ring. “Here you go dear, try it now,” she said kindly. Haldir smiled, then looked over to a man. He looked at Madison and then back to the man, he had red hair and green eyes. “Madison, I think there’s someone here that you would like to meet,” he told her with a smile. 

Madison’s ring now fit like it was meant for her, she slowly turned around and saw her father.”hello father, I’m your daughter Madison. Mom gave me your ring, but it fits me now. I hope it’s ok that mom gave it to me, I only found out today that I’m half elf,” she said as she looked at her dad. She was starting to rub her leg nervously.

(no worries.....I fell asleep earlier because I got up at 4:45 this morning.....😴)

Legolas looked at his daughter, he was amazed about how much she looked like her mother. He smiled at her, “Madison, it’s so nice to finally see you all grown up,” he told her. “I’m glad she gave you something of mine, I’m glad you finally know what you are,” he told her. He walked up to her and gave her a tight hug. 

“Well at first I was kinda freak out that I’m part elf, but I guess I also inherited your drawing skills. Here’s some of the things I’ve drawn so far, at school my art teacher suggested I enter in the school art contest. I don’t know if I’m good enough for that yet,” replied Madison as she messed with the ring that she was wearing.
