Literate to Semi-Literate Wolf Roleplay (Open now!)

The packs of Wolvden have been content for a number of years now. There is plentiful prey, and enough space for all the growing packs to run as far as their hearts contend. But the peace may now be disturbed by the strange dreams, perhaps visions, that wolves have started to see in their sleep. These strange lands they roam in their slumber, aptly named the Dreamlands, offer new adventures... and new dangers. Can they work together to untangle the mysteries of the Dreamlands? And are the dangers as real as they seem when all they are fighting is simply a dream?

To start with, my name is Chaos, and while I'm starting this thread, I don't particularly consider myself the leader here. This will probably be a very small group, so plots and rules should be suggested and agreed upon.

My first suggestion is that there are at least two packs, so that there is guaranteed conflict. Beyond that, I would suggest some of the usual natural disasters befalling wolves: Bad weather, sickness, famine. And the rest of the plot could be character driven. These are just my initial thoughts. If you have something more fleshed out in mind, please post them!

Biography: Druid was barely an adolescent when she challenged the alpha of her birth pack and predictably lost to the older and more experienced wolf. Undeterred, she took a few loyal packmates and formed what is now the Rapid Evening pack.

Personality: aloof, solitary, stoic, softhearted
Biography: Yarrow was one of the first new wolves that joined the Rapid Evening pack, and had to be convinced to do so, as she much valued her solitude as a lone wolf. Despite shunning the company of her packmates  she seems to have a soft spot for pups, as she is often bringing stray ones back from her scouting missions.

Biography: Bianca had barely finished her apprenticeship as a hunter when her mother's death forced her to step into position as finisher of the main hunting team. She is very anxious about living up to her mother's legacy as an excellent finisher, and covers her insecurity with aggresive self-confidence and a firey temper.

This all sounds good! I was thinking that each person would RP wolves from their own pack, and so each represent one pack and its interests, though if people wanna be packmates that would work too. Maybe we should have a list of packs to keep things organized. Maybe we could do something with prey scarcity, or even the lunar event? Like wolves feeling concerned or uneasy with the appearance of dreamlands, disagreeing over whether it's good or a threat. That could be fun and timely.

She operates on a relaxed standard regarding borders, but she is very serious about hunting schedules, as their growing Pack requires food.

Oh, I see! You were looking for a Wolvden-based Wolf RP! I had been more thinking a general wolf rp on site. I actually think it's a pretty brilliant Idea to use the existing structure of the site for an rp. It's got a map. It's got an event going on that would be interesting!

The main hurdle to me is that it would be kind of difficult to build bonds between characters if they are all in separate packs. Unless the packs have a very casual relationship to one another? Also, a lot of my wolvden wolves are actually based on a friend's characters so they aren't really mine to play. I just wanted to show her what they looked like and how they behaved in wolf form.

Aside from that, it's pretty doable. I want to know what Bacon thinks though. 

Oh ok! Sorry for the confusion. I'm fine with a regular wolf rp, I'd probably just use my wolvden characters/pack, but I'm fine with people rp'ing wolves they don't "own". I think we could do kind of a combo like have it set in the Wolvden world and biome and such, but be more loose with the packs and characters, and we can decide on the packs and relationships before we start and build off of that.

Nah, my pack doesn't have much lore really - they're just wolves. I have a sort of basic personality outlined for each of them but that's all! I'd like to keep my pack if you don't mind, but I'm open to having other people's characters be a part of it.

Personality: Labelled as an obnoxious, snobby brat, Jackdaw can definitely come off as such on a daily basis, but the root of her obnoxious disposition is more to do with her insecurities than her being downright mean. Jackdaw is kind when she really thinks about her words rather than rushes into them, and needs to be encouraged to think before she acts and/or speaks. She is an adventurous soul who prefers time alone or with her only close friend, Badger that Bites. Losing her parents in a terrible fight for territory when she and Badger were young rocked Jackdaw's world, and now, living in a new pack that she does not consider family, Jackdaw's negative emotions fester.

Rank: While too young to act upon her rank just yet, Badger wants to be a herbalist or a pupsitter.

Personality: Known to be a dutiful young wolf despite the company she keeps, Badger is an honest and firm wolf with a kind, caring belief when it comes to others. She believes that all creatures have good inside of them, even if they may not see it. She sticks close to Jackdaw, and ever since the two were young pups, they have been inseparable. A rift forms between them as Badger rises higher and finds friends easier, but she never wants to leave Jackdaw behind. Raised together beside each other's parents, sent into the world as orphans, and finding a new pack, Badger has been the one to keep the aggressive Jackdaw together.

I think integrating a combo of packs and wolvden lore would be cool, I'm down for pretty much anything!
