Alright! Here's my character concepts. Haven't decided which pack to put Dances-In-Fire into, so lemme know what you guys think? I'm happy to adjust things to make concepts fit better :D
Name: Smoulder Rank: Herbalist Appearance: Thick, coarse russet fur with a black ticking cape and a half-mask. Piercing orange eyes, and visible scars near his left eye and paw. Personality: Nurturing, Melancholic, Nostalgic, Fatherly Biography: A lifetime of herbalist apprenticeship and practice failed Smoulder at the worst possible time. One of the huntresses of the pack had come down with an infection. His own pair-bonded wife. When his paws could save neither his wife nor their unborn pups, he retreated to the woods for a month and allowed the wound in his heart to bleed. When he came back, he was a changed wolf. Youthish confidence replaced by prudence - and an always lingering worry.I gave him the coloration of Fire Opal's leadership lineage (notably reddish fur, a black ticking cape, black-tipped tail and black half-mask), but I also understand that him being older than Rue is questionable for canon - could be a distant relation, or the appearance could even be a coincidence. I figured, why not have him on theme, right? Not 100% sold on the name, though... ----------------------------------------------------  Name: Dances-In-Flames Pronouns: He / Him Rank: Scout Appearance: Sandy appearance with a salt-and-pepper cape. Personality: Aloof, Sarcastic, Darkly Humorous, Enthusiastically Nihilist, Mischievous, Morbid Biography: They say that Dances-In-Flames can prance through the strands of a spider’s web. They say he leaps higher than a cat, and that coyote blood runs in his veins. They say many things, some of which might even be true! He’d been found as a barely-weaned pup curled atop a pile of rocks atop a mesa - to this day, nobody can explain how he got there. His birth pack is unknown, but one thing’s for sure - he makes a damned good scout. Perhaps even good enough to put up with him!----------------------------------------------------  Name: Starchaser Pronouns: He / Him Age: 1 year, 1 month. Rank: Hunter (Chaser) Personality: Inconsistent; timid at camp; on the hunt, earnest, fiery, protective, eager to please Biography: Taken in as a pup as an offering from an overpopulated home pack up north, Starchaser has always felt a bit off. Given his otherwise timid nature, the eagerness with which he threw himself at becoming a hunter came as a surprise to those who knew him! True to his name, he’s taken to being a chaser very well, and seems to be an almost entirely different person on the hunt - showing passion and earnestness that seems to melt away when he returns to the pack. ---------------------------------------------------- Those are the concepts currently! I do not have a hard and fast place for Dances-In-Fire yet. Originally I designed him for Rapid Evening, then realized that Yarrow was actually with them! Thinking on it though, I am still leaning that way, cuz it would give me a voice with which to interact with the apprentice crew and Yarrow. That would mean that Rapid Evening has two scouts, but on the other hand that keeps me from just being like... all in one camp? XD Also if you have questions or concerns about the concepts please let me know! Currently they've got a few characteristics and personality quirks that I haven't mentioned cuz I figure it might be more fun for them to come up organically in RP, but I'm happy to play with a more open hand if it suits the RP tone and mood better! I'm happy to make adjustments as need be! |

Also since it hasn't really come up yet, what's the group's policy on NPCs! For example if I want Smoulder to be tending to a sick pup, or want to introduce some side-characters who're tangentially related to characters, how are we handling that? |

I love the look of your character concepts!! Dances-In-Flames is similar to one of my wolves in personality, good thing they aren't in this RP xD As for NPCs, I don't think we've really had a convo about that yet. |

When y'all get a chance, I'd be curious to hear any thoughts about the prospective characters and how they might fit! I definitely understand real life taking priority though, so no rush ^^ |

Oh hey!! Sorry Adept. IDK what's going on but I didn't actually see your char post until just now! Those are awesome char concepts. And it's fine that your healer has red fur. They might be a side branch of the main line for leadership. So one of Rue's cousins or something! :) |
