The Guardians of the Crystals- Officially Over

Arthur managed to hide the surprised expression that almost showed. He looked down at the necklace, seeing the familiar crystal in a shrunken form at the end. His eyes then met with hers. A surge of pride went through him at her words; he was very glad to know that he was doing his job correctly, and that the Queen enjoyed his company, even if the only reason was feeling safer. "You can call for me any time, Queen Celeste." He said softly, pulling up a chair to sit near her. He crossed his legs and intertwined his fingers, resting his hands on his raised knee. "The last time you had a panic attack was... quite some time ago, which means I'm classifying it as important. I'd like it if you'd request my assistance next time it happens, if it happens again, if I'm not already by your side." He smiled softly at her, leaning back against the chair. He was always more relaxed and neutral when it was only him and the Queen, and he didn't have to set an example for the other |

Celeste rested a hand on Arthur's arm. "I can always count on you, Arthur," She said, smiling. "Now, I'm sure you've heard, but I have a guest staying tonight. She's a fellow Guardian, so treat her kindly. Tomorrow morning, send one of your fellow Guards to lead her to the dining room. As for you, meet me tomorrow in my private dining room. We must talk." She waved her hand, a steaming pot of tea materializing on the glass table. She poured herself a cup. "Would you like some tea?" |

Arthur looked down at the Queen's hand on his, and he smiled, looking back at her. "I did hear about the new Guardian from some younger guards in a gossip routine of theirs. I'm very sorry I didn't make it to the dinner earlier - there was a situation with the horses. One of them broke a stable gate down, but no one was injured and the horse was secured." He smiled, letting out a sigh of relief. He tilted his head ever so slightly when she mentioned a meeting in her private dining room. "Of course, I'll send Jason to the Guardian. He knows his way around, and is quite respectful to any and everyone. As for the meet, I'll be there, no doubt." He looked over at the teapot, and he nodded. "If it's not a hassle, Earl Grey please." |

Celestial nodded. "As long as no one was injured. Now, Jason is the preferred choice; tell him to be at Luna's room by 9 o'clock in the morning. Her room in on the second floor, west wing, 3rd room." She smiled at Arthur. "Earl Grey? Of course." She poured another cup of steaming water and gently lowered the tea bag into his cup. She handed it to Arthur and smelled her brew. She made a face. "My, my...must have chosen the wrong tea bag. I thought I was going for chamomile." She waved a finger, and smiled as she sipped the tea. "Ah. Perfect. Now, its almost dawn; I shall try to get some rest before breakfast. Arthur, your dismissed. Oh, do leave the tea cup here. I'll clean it." |

"Will do, Queen Celeste." Arthur smiled, and took a few sips from the steaming brew, storing the information in his mind. He chuckled lightly at her reaction to her tea, and he finished his off right before she mentioned the time. Looking out at the large window-doors leading out to the veranda, his eyes widened as he saw the moon close to disappearing over the horizon. "Yes, please try to get some sleep. I hope my visit will make your rest easier." He smiled, placing the cup down on the glass table as instructed. He stood up and bowed to the Queen once more. "I'll talk to Jason and then get to work until the meeting time." He nodded to her, taking a last glance at her delicate frame before leaving the room, closing the door behind himself softly. He cleared his throat and walked down the hallway quickly, and, knowing that Jason came to work early, began looking for him. It didn't take long to find the teal-eyed blonde. "General Arthur!" The young man lifted his hand to his forehead in a salute, to which Arthur gestured for him to put it down. "Just Arthur, please." He smiled. Being the personal guard of the Queen came with a high-rank working in the palace, and outside of it, as well. He held the title of General when he was working away from the Queen, but with closer guards, he preferred for them to drop his title. "Of course. Is there something wrong?" Jason inquired, wondering why he had been sought out by the General. "As you must've heard, a Guardian has chosen to rest in the palace. We aren't sure for how long, but it's a great honor. She has the Crystal of Shapeshifting, if you must know, and the Queen has instructed for you to meet her at her room at nine o'clock sharp. She's retired in the third room, second floor of the west wing." Jason nodded quickly. "Yessir." He smiled, and wandered off to finish any early duties he could before the appropriate time arrived. Arthur, on the other hand, went out of the palace and to the stables. There, he approached his midnight steed Maxim. He made it a personal thing of his to feed and brush the stallion himself instead of the stableboy, strengthening his bond with the handsome horse. The magnificent creature knickered and shook out its mane as he approached. He ran his palm down his muzzle and smiled. "A very early good morning to you, too." |

Celestial waved her fingers, and the tea dissipated in a shower of mist. She laid back in her bed, the first glow of dawn appearing over the horizon. She sighed, and sat up. She knew she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep. She made her bed and changed into a comfortable silky white dress reaching up to her calves. She slipped her feet into silver sandals and willed her hair to morph into a braid crowning her head. She topped a simple silver crown on her head and left the room, fingering the necklace around her neck. She went downstairs into her private dining room, waiting for Arthur to arrive. |

(Just saying, the place Celeste is in is a Kingdom, so there are a lot of cities/towns.) Celeste sat at the small table, fingering her necklace and thinking. She glanced at the clock. It was about 8 in the morning now. Arthur should be here soon. She beckoned to the servant carrying her breakfast tray. The servant was skinny and hollow-faced, and Celeste felt bad. "Here." She handed the girl a large roll from her breakfast, still warm. The girl's eyes widened in surprise, and took it gratefully. "Thank you, ma'am!" She rushed out of the room, munching on the roll. |

(the one close to the castle.) Moonlight climbed out of the tree, walking toward the town. after a while, she got there once again, heading around it to the front of the town, hoping to seem like just a normal traveler. |

Arthur spent as much time as he could with his dark companion until he checked the position of the sun in the sky. Seeing that it was a little before nine, he said goodbye to the stallion, tossed him an apple, and went back inside the palace. First, he went to his quarters and changed from his afternoon clothes to his normal General attire. Gazing over at his mirror, he finished up his outfit with a dark cape that leaned more to one side than the other, a thin golden chain holding it over where his collarbone would be. He smiled, approving of his appearance. Checking the time once more, he found that he had a few minutes until the meeting time - enough time for him to get there. Rubbing the remaining tiredness from his eyes, the red-haired General walked out of his quarters and began making his way to the Queen's private dining room. He smiled at a girl, certainly a servant of some sort, who came from room, exchanging a brief greeting with her. When he got to the entrance, he walked in, his legs moving in a steady rhythm as he walked over to the table that she was sitting at. "Good morning, Queen Celeste." He smiled, taking a seat. His light brown eyes scanned her face, and his smile faltered ever so slightly. Having been around her long enough, he could tell that she hadn't gotten any sleep, but didn't ask about the matter. "What did you want to talk about?" (the link to what it'd look like, minus the cape) |
