Basically, a set of quests you could do to earn territory slots from

The quests should be curated and not rng assigned so your first quest should always be the same as someone elses first quest

eg:

1st slot:  scout 5 times

2nd slot: succeed at a small trail

3rd slot: win 3 fights

...

6th slot: get a pack member to level 10

....

8th slot: make 1 medicine

...
10th slot:breed a t2 base
...

15th slot: Get a hunting party to 100% synergy 
...

20th slot: breed a puppy with 400 stats

...

Have it slowly get harder and harder as the slots go up to give a deeper sense of progression to the game as you always have something to work towards

As some of you may notice, i included a quest to “breed a puppy with 400 stats” and ' breed a t2 base' as a suggested quest and some people may not enjoy that because not everyone is a stat/looks breeder and some may see it as forcing a playstyle they do not like onto them

However, as the games 'questline' it should probably encompass the game as much as possible, including looks/stats/etc should be a thing as it is the games mechanics

At the end of the day, if people don’t want to do those specific quests they can just pay the sc fee

I made this post as a response to all of the suggestions to make territory available to to some rng related means (eg through scouting hunting etc) which is just rather boring, and makes the game feel rather stagnant as you never really have to do anything but what you normally do to obtain slots in these suggestions, a lot of players complain about having nothing to do after a certain point due to the rng reliance and i think having a quest system that gets progressively harder for slots may be a good incentive to keep people playing


Side suggested feature to add on to this mechanic: Random gauntlet quests for slots after 51(aka gc slots)

Basically, like the daily quest snake but a whole lot harder and you earn slots instead

quest examples:

Succeed at 100 large trails

kill 50(insert animal type)

Find me (insert long looooong list of random items, trophies etc)

Basically, to get slots after 51 you either pay with your playtime or your gc

these quests should  not expire for obvious reasons

And for those that think letting players earn premium slots is bad, to complete even 1 of these quests would take several days of collecting/hunting/fighting and if we were to say each only took 3 days to complete(obscenely lenient estimate), it would take 450 days aka 1 year 3 months of playing to get them all, which would make them interact with the community for a good bit before getting them all and hence benefit the game as a whole

I agree with this too! sometimes its just a lil too hard to get SC in a hurry

I haven't had any issues with obtaining SC- that being said, I do think this idea would solve one of the largest complaints while not taking away from the difficulty of the game. Though, it may be a slightly jarring implementation. Consider: Do we keep the territory slots we've already gained? If we've already completed some of the quests prior to the implementation, will we be able to access those slots, or would we need to repeat them? The former would be slightly more difficult to code and manage while the ladder would probably upset some players.
