Lunar Event #3! (April 16th-22nd, 2021)

Ohhh!! The base is very pretty!

Agh I’m beyond excited for this! 

Im absolutely in love with the additions to the shop!! I must have the lemmings and deer mouse, they are adorable and I can’t wait to get the new special base as well. Super excited for rollover!!

Lunar events would have blue and purple themes, of course. I can't imagine getting any kind of warm base for a lunar event. The colors make sense, and Luna is a decent base. I can't wait to put it on a wolf.

Yeah, honestly when you look at the lore for the event and what the dream world consists of, the blue and purple coloring makes the most sense. The wolves are better adapted to their environment and all that jazz with the current coloring.

Perhaps later on there will be some black bases to mimic the shopkeepers (unless that ends up being a mutation at some point) and I think I remember the first post saying the fighting clan (Forget off the top of my head what they’re called, Arkos?) has reds? Ill have to go back and double check on that, but maybe that means red special bases will be released at some point. Perhaps during the nightmare event? Though maybe that would be a black base.

Anyways, right now the lore is still being established, so that’s why everything is still blues and purples. Because world building and lore.

@Zeldy also has a point with saying “ New base looks nice, I have to admit that I hoped something red toned like Almandine (I think that's the name) but I guess it wouldn't fit lunar event which is blue toned. Maybe for a red/blood moon event, or else. Welp gonna think if I choose the base for my next lead.” 

A blood moon event would definitely make sense for a red base to drop during it.

Last I checked, the stars and moon were yellow, so no, it doesn't make sense to me that these events are solely cool coloured based. There's harvest moons, blood moons, strawberry moons, loads of warm colours. I think this is lazy and exclusionary and I'm within my rights to say such a thing. I think releasing the same variety of fails and shades within a large time span is cheating your fanbase. I expected better and am allowed to say such a thing. I mean no disrespect but I am not going to lie and say I love something I won't use and didn't expect. 

Yall just gotta remember, right now there isn’t a special moon going on, so it’s just going to be regular lunar lore based things for the event. When the special moons happen will be when we get more diverse colorings for the special bases.

granted, I like this base a lot more than last month’s. I think the shade of blue is a bit more calming on my eyes. 

but why only blue for lunar event, when the moon and space can be so vast and colorful? no soft yellow moon colored bases... no beautifully pale silver white moon bases... no blood moon base, no shimmering charcoal dark side of the moon base.. I’m really bummed by this event if it’s all slightly different shades of the same thing. 

the art is beautiful, please don’t get me wrong, I always appreciate the beauty and effort put into these things. but I feel it could be executed with a lot more creativity.
