Failed Stud Request Notifications

I've had plenty of people removing their stud requests lately, and normally, I don't care. However, sometimes it's after using a whole bar of energy, and them not realizing I had tried. This suggestion is for 1. The failed attempts showing up in your userlog. At the time of posting this, it only shows up for YOUR OWN wolves. This would be showing the failed attempts of stud requests in your userlog now too. 2. Showing the number of failed attempts on the top of your screen while you're on the breeding page, whether it's breeding your own wolf or on the incoming stud request page. 3. The user would get a notification. It would say something along the lines of Your Stud Request was Accepted - But Failed! (Wording can be changed!) And, it would say when you open the message how many times the user has tried. It can update accordingly, or you receive a new message if there's a gap in between attempts. This is so avoid inbox clutter but still notify people their stud request is in the works. The amount of times I've had to PM people after using so much energy.... |

I'd definitely love to see something implemented. I'm not sure the best way to go about it, but anything would be better than nothing, I think! Having breeding attempts log in both the stud and the female players' user logs would be nice, as that way each player would have it recorded in their log, undeniable, unremovable proof that attempts were being made. Could flood the user log a bit, though, especially those VLFs that take tons and tons of attempts, and some users may not think to check it? Notifications would be great too, though also understandably spammy, especially for those VLFs. Maybe a notification about failed attempts could be sent out, not for every failed attempt, but something like every 5 or 10 attempts (and as Roxanne mentions, state how many times the user has tried as of that notification)? However it would end up working, having SOMETHING would be wonderful. It's rough being on the stud end of the equation and having the person who sent the request completely unaware on if you have made any attempts or not. And I'm not usually someone bothered by people removing requests, but when they remove because they don't know you've tried, but you've been making several attempts, is somewhat frustrating. I usually end up PMing people if it starts looking like it will take a while, just to make them aware, but sometimes people remove requests pretty quick if they think you're ignoring them. |

A potential alternative to notifications - have a column on the outgoing stud requests page to indicate whether the stud has begun attempting breeding or not (or potentially how many times they've tried/how much energy they've used so far?), so it's right on the page where folks would remove the request. |

That way it avoids the spam of the LD system but avoids females' owners from canceling studdings they don't know are in progress. |
