Hello, just joined and while I’m getting the hang of things I’d definitely love a bit of help or any tips!

Don't know if I should say anything else, that’s kinda it :)

Hey Veronica, welcome to Wolvden!

This game's got a good bit of depth and, depending on how familiar you are with virtual pet sites (or, by extension, video games), a decent learning curve. I definitely recommend taking your time getting into it and try not to let yourself get overwhelmed. The Grouse House guides will be a huge help, as will the wiki.

I'm open to questions if you have any, and I'd be down to share resources (food, toys, herbs) if you need anything.

I’ve never played any games like this so it’s definitely a learning experience. And thank you for the links, I’ll read them over :)

I do have a few questions

-What’s the herbalist? For some reason I couldn’t unlock it.

-What’s the worth of SC/GC? I’ve looked on the trading centre a few times (with a little help from someone ‘cause it’s low-key overwhelming lol) and it seems like there’s really no specific pricing? I might’ve missed something though.

Aside from that I’m good on food and toys!

The herbalist is something you'll unlock through the Quest page. Herbalists gather herbs and mix poultices to heal up sick/injured wolves, which happen through random events after they've been hunting, scouting, etc.

The worth of SC/GC is all over the place. I recently got back from a month-and-a-half-ish hiatus, and when I left it was around 60 SC  for 1 GC, and now it looks like that's nearly doubled. The market is entirely player-run and it's a bit of a wild west situation in a lot of areas, hahaha! The trading centre definitely takes some getting used to, no doubt--I didn't really touch it for the first few weeks or so when I started playing.

Thank you, the Herbalist sounds quite cool! I'll be sure to save up some herbs for that quest.

The trading center seems all over the place, but yeah I'm sure I'll get used to it. I've already gotten a few wolves from it so I consider that a step in the right direction :)!

Last question I have, why are tiers important? Do they have something better or are they just more favored/expensive because they're pretty?

No problemo!

And that's awesome! Glad to hear you've gotten some good wolves out of it already.

Higher tiered bases have more coloring/shading to them and are rarer. Many can only be obtained through breeding or found on wolves in Explore.  This page contains a list of all the bases, how to get them, and the percent chances of breeding them with various tier pairings.

There are a lot of people who don't pay attention to tiers when playing, but I'd say a large chunk of the playerbase pay a lot of attention to tiers when looking at wolves to purchase.

Ah okay! I kinda like the softer tones of the lower tiers I have compared to the rare ones so I'll most likely end up ignoring the tiers and go for aesthetics instead.

This is one of my favorites I got so far.

And thank you so much for all the help!

Hell yeah, do it up. It's a very versatile game in that regard, and that's one of my favorite things about it.

Wow, she's incredible! Lovely blend of colors and good stats too.

Glad to help!
