Another Newbie That Has a Survivability Question!

Hi guys,

Just another newbie over here. :)
Tbh, not sure where to start other than being another artist (though mostly anthro and Kemono stuff if anyone is interested:

twitter.com (Also holding out a Free Raffle atm!)

I used to play games like Aywas and Flight Rising, but that was ages ago and it seem Wolvden has revived my interest back into the Adoptable Genre!

Other than that, I'm currently a bit confused with the Survivability Rate mechanic.

I have my litter assign to a Puppysitter and currently still sits at 80% Survivability... Is there a way to maximize it?

A brand-new pupsitter has 60% protection to give, but it's divided among all the pups he's protecting. If he's protecting two pups, he can only give them 30% each. So to make sure the pups survive, you'd need to get a second pupsitter and give each sitter just one pup.

With practice, a pupsitter's proficiency will rise and they'll eventually have 100% protection to give. So in time you won't need as many pupsitters.

hey, welcome to wd! :)

another thing is to make sure the mother is fed+played to 100% while she is nursing the pups. pup survival goes up 7% each rollover that the mother is fully taken care of.

^^ but as a side note, if you keep the pups and their mother fully fed and amused their survival chance will increase by 7% per day - this occurs before the death roll. However, if they aren’t fully fed/played with they will lose 15%, also before the death roll.

Edit: oops eve got to it before me

Yes, there are a few! For one, if a pupsitter has to protect more than one pup their protection will be spread out. For example, if you give a 60% protection pupsitter 2 pups, each will get a boost of 30%. For each pup to get more of a boost, assign them different pupsitters. Also, if you feed and play their mother up to 100%, the pups will get their survival chance raised by 7% (if you only get one up to 100 nothing will change, if you do neither the chances will go down by 15%). Hope this is helpful!
