— : LAWS AND RULES : —— { PACK MEMBERS } —
• All pack members must be female. With the exception of one breeding male (and his heir once the time comes), and any direct offspring of the Queen, herself. More often than not, male pups will be chased out when they come of age, though some exceptions can be made for lore purposes. {Since pair-bonding was introduced, I decided that males can join the pack, but only they are accepted by current members of the pack. Each current member of the pack will have a dice roll, evens = accepting, odds = rejecting. If the majority = accepting, a male wolf will be welcomed into the pack but must work for his ranking / trust and respect.} • Only females can be claimed in explore. There are no exceptions to this rule. Males may not be claimed in explore, and sex changers cannot be used on pups. This will keep the lore realistic. Males shall be fought in explore.
• All pack members must be assigned a rank. All wolves must pull their weight if they wish to stay within the Kaskazini. Although wolves can have their ranks changed, this will be an unlikely occurrence within the pack.
• The pack will always be run by a female. Although this may change one day for lore purposes, as time goes on, all leaders after Pallas will be female. Generally speaking, all lead wolves should be related to Pallas, herself. This may also change for lore purposes. I haven’t decided.
• The Queen may only breed with her chosen mate. Although the breeder male can mate with other she-wolves (with the Queen’s permission), the Queen must remain loyal to her mate, or learn to hide it well enough as to go unnoticed.
• Pupsitters may be punished or exiled for the death of female pups. However, this decision will be up to the Queen (OOC: a dice role, odds = punishment, evens = banishment).
• Pups will not be named until their survival is guaranteed. Although Pallas understands this is morbid, this helps prevent nursing mothers from getting too attached to their offspring, especially during the winter. Named around 4-5 months.
— { BREEDING } —
• Only the Queen may breed whenever she wants. Other females (only if they wish to breed with Harun) must ask for the Queen’s blessing. (This involves another dice roll, evens = permission granted, odds = declined). No exceptions. • Females do not have to disclose who they bred with. (Unless it’s Harun). Pallas trusts her packmates to choose strong males to breed with, and understands that bearing pups may be difficult when Harun is the only breeding male.
• All other males must take a vow of celibacy. No males, besides the breeding male, may bear offspring with females within the pack. They will devote their entire lives to their ranks, and to pack. This includes the Breeding Male’s heir until he takes the throne, himself. No exceptions. {Since pair-bonds were introduced, I will make an exception to this rule. However, males will be punished or banished if Pallas finds out. Evens = getting found out, odds = getting away with it.}
• Male pups are to be sold or chased. Obviously, exceptions will come for mutations or heirs.
• There will be no inbreeding within the Kaskazini. Since this pack is lore-based, and nowhere near competitive, there will be no reason to inbreed. Sorry, not sorry. • As long as Pallas is Queen, mutations will be considered gifts from the Gods. They will be fiercely protected and cherished, no matter their use or lifespan. Pupsitters who let mutated pups die will be banished, no matter the gender.
— { BATTLING } —
• The Queen must protect her lands at all costs. This means that all enemy NPCS equal to, or below her level must be fought. Enemies with a higher level may be avoided, or retreated from to ensure the Queen’s safety.
• The Queen may die during battle. She must carry healing salves with her at all times. If her HP hits 0, and she has no healing salves readily available, I will roll the dice and determine whether she bleeds out or not. (Evens = death, odd = she inevitably heals from injuries.) |
