Chrónos is a vast and fruitful land. Dotted with mountains, forests, plains, and a rocky coastline. It was once home to many packs of wolves, spread across the realm and flourishing. That is until a new predator was introduced to the region. Primal Cats moved in from the north and settled in the plains. Large, lion-sized, felines who are a ruddy brown in colour. They began to decimate the populations of canines, almost wiping out all of the packs in the area. The largest pack, Glykós Íchos, reigned over the northernmost territory of Chrónos. They began taking in survivors from the destroyed groups, eventually waging their own war against the felines. This only lead to ruin. Their numbers began to dwindle as the wolves they sent out to attack never returned. The cats grew bold in their victories, attacking them on their own homelands. They were eventually pushed back to the core of their home, the only option left being to defend. With the icy sting of death breathing down their necks, how will they overcome this plight? Can they come back from the impossible and reclaim their home? Character Quick Links |

The morning sun peeked over the horizon as dense fog settled on the base of the mountains. A few stray wolves began to trail into camp, pelts saturated with dew from their early hour patrol. Others sleepily filed out from the cave entrance, emerging into the sunlight to disturb the stillness of camp. Some were still tucked away in their dens, determined to sleep through the busiest daylight hours. All seemed well as the subordinates stretched the tiredness out of their limbs and began to go about their routine chores. The cheerful bustle was interrupted as the shrill roar of a primal cat rang across the mountain, followed by many more. They echoed from the valley below, leaving the pack in stark silence. As the feline's cries faded away, all that was heard was the soft trickle of the stream jutting through camp. The commotion seemed to spur the largest of the pack to their posts. Now unsettled, the group hastily maintained their work while they chattered in hushed tones. There was no space to relax it seemed. It was only a matter of time before fate forced their hand. |

Pearla Interactions: N/A||Currently: Waking Up and Noticing the Cries of the Cats Before Pearla woke up it was a morning like no other, the small sounds from the entrance of the camp woke her up since she knew it meant it was morning. She gets out of her small nest of leaves and yawns widely. Walking out of her small den she moves to the food storage and grabs a small bite before leaving the cave where many rested. The morning sun warmed her fur and her mood was quite happy. However, that changed when the horrifying shriek of a roar echoed through the terrain and disturbed the calm morning. Her mood and smile was no more, but what was left was a thought of fear and unsafety. She needed to go collect and search for herbs, but after that warning call she wasn't so sure anymore. Maybe she would discuss with the Alpha and see what could be arranged. |

Chai|| Open|| Mentions: Codex, Fern The bright morning sun’s rays were just beginning to peak through the entrance of the nursery as Chai remained, curled up around her pups Codex and Fern. After having been up half the night due to Fern complaining she was cold as the reddish brown mother wolf did the best she could to offer her warmth to her daughter. The soft breathing as she moved her body around them tighter and remaining curled around them. But, unaware of what her puppies were doing as she woke up fifteen minutes to a cold nest. Chai, blinked her hazel eyes that were just adjusting to the light as she swiveled her head up with a whine. “Not again....I told Codex to wake me up before be goes and now he’s wrangled Fern into this.” Half mumbling her worry aloud as she stood up from her nest and shook off the leaves that were stuck to her pelt. The mother wolf not wasting any time as she walked to the entrance of the cave and scanned her hazel eyes around the clearing. All she saw was her fellow pack mates and no sign of her pups. “Codex! Fern! This isn’t a morning for games.....where are you?” The distress taking over her tone in a fear, even though it was camp knowing her son he was bound to get into trouble. Codex||Open||Mentions: Chai, Fern Already, the young black white pelter pup was up before the sun’s rays were even peaking through the entrance. Codex, shifting in the nest he shared with his mother and sister before gently nosing his sister awake. “Fern.....are you awake?” the curiosity filling into his tone as he prodded a paw into his sister’s shoulder which finally caused her to raise her head. “C’mon sis....how about we go play and explore outside of camp today. I wanna be a strong wolf like Dad was. An what better way than exploring outside and running into a cat to fight?” Even though the thought of a cat scared the young pup the facade he was putting onto look like a brave pup and coax his timid sister to come with him. “Please Fern? We can go pick some of mom’s flowers when we finish?” Offering the deal to Fern as she reluctantly caved into her brother’s demands. Codex leading the way out of the cave and to where one of the exit’s to the camp was. “See Sis no one is gonna know we’re leaving.” Blinking his yellow eyes back to the bushes that awaited for them to go through. Fern||Open||Mentions: Chai, Codex All through the night the light red-grey pup slept beside her mother and brother. Even though she woke her mother with her being cold, she finally found warmth nestled deep into her side. Fern, now being peacefully asleep beside Chai as she slept, until an annoying paw started to prod into her shoulder. Blinking open her hazel eyes with a startled expression raising onto her face. “Codex? Hug what’s wrong?” The fear taking over her tone as she looked around the den before tilting her head at her brother. Listening to him now beg about going exploring outside of camp. “I-I don’t know Codex....mommy wouldn’t want us leaving without telling her first. Or without having an adult with us....you know how much trouble we’d be in if we get caught?” The worry still present in her tone as she went silent with a short whine escaping out. ‘He’s not wrong about the mommy’s flowers....’ finally nodding yes as she young pup scampered after her littermate. “Wait for me!” the fear of being left behind was now evident as she scampered behind Codex to where the exit was. “I-I don’t know Codex.....” the hesitation in her voice as she leaned back on her haunches with a whine. |

Ornate | F | Loner | Coast | Mentions: Open She was a pariah to all. An alpha should never abandon their post but it had just gotten too much. With things going downhill around the cats, she couldn’t keep her paws about her and it all crumbled. At least she didn’t go crazy. A lot of alpha’s went down such path and went on a killing spree, spilling blood until they die. Ornate could never, in truth of her heart she was kind and pack oriented. Does she regret it? Of course but for the pack to have survived she needed to let herself slip away. There were those she missed dearly and her heart ached from being alone. Although she was no longer an alpha, she held alpha blood and grew up to be an alpha. Ornate needed to put all that behind her. She needed to continue like any other wolf like she had wanted all along. The female definitely had to admit, it was strange being alone. Especially being a pack animal but other than that, she could let loose. At times she even bounded around like a puppy only to gain her composure back. Ornate grinned sheepishly as she reminisced. It wasn’t seen as uncommon for her to do so, she actually did so almost every morning. Ore was a wolf of habit, she wanted things done her way and a certain way at that. If done differently it was as if all of the world became nothing but dust. As it was just morning, Ornate didn’t feel like getting up just yet and allowed herself to let go. Her thoughts circled her mind, each one coming out with a different outcome. Ore laid along the coast, her paws just touching the water and her white fur picking up tan sand. This was her favourite place even when it was cold. It was so beautiful and serene. The perfect time was when the sun was coming down to kiss the ocean. The female wondered what it would be like to have a pack on the coast. Other than the water and sights it wouldn’t work. She was so deep in thought, that her golden eyes had narrowed, concentrating on nothing in particular. The damsel soon raised her head abruptly, the shrill yet somewhat faint cry of the primal cats echoing through her ears. They stood upright and she looked around, as much as she knew she was far from them she had seen the terror they bring, the damage they could do and that like it would with all, struck some fear inside her. Somehow, she was glad of it. Her thoughts were too many, and so she would give it a rest for now. After all, she couldn’t lay in the bliss of the coast all day long. She could, but she wouldn’t. Although she was nicer, more cheerful, smiled more often, even laughed, now she wasn’t under so much pressure Ornate still demanded respect from the wolves she occasionally came across. She had her moments. Ore yawned and stretched her front legs out before pushing her body up and out of the sand. The she wolf shook her fur free of all the sand and then looked back up to the day sky. Every morning she took her time to ponder what the day was going to bring, who she would meet and how it would end. Mika | M | Lambda | Camp | Mentions: Open As the sun began to weave its rays through the trees one use to be able to hear the forest come alive. Mika use to groan and wish the chirping birds would shut up and let everyone sleep but now, now he begged for them back. They weren’t gone but it was more often than not that he was woken by other means. The shrill of primal cats was the worst, it was the one that struck fear in him. It wasn’t fun, waking up in a fright. It put a bad start to the day. Things didn’t hold the energy it use to and life began to diminish. There was no room to relax. He felt rushed and worked harder than he had before. The butterfly effect kicking in, as one thing changed so did another. Beneath his fur, skin ripped against the cold breath of air, it wasn’t the coldest it could get but it still nipped at him uncomfortably. It was becoming morning and Mika hadn’t slept very much during the night, his shivering body waking him up from time to time but only to fall asleep comfortably as he curled into the pack members he lay with. Each time it seemed they had moved. As much as he didn’t want to wake up the light found its way through the cracks and tapped against his eye lids. Mika groaned and moved his head up onto his paws instead of on the ground. Slowly but surely the large male blinked away the darkness so his eyes could adjust to the light. As the male awoke, a tight clenching in his stomach had him sigh. He was hungry, he rolled his eyes at himself, he always seemed to be hungry and he found that rather amusing. He knew not to complain or say much, he knew he would eat. The pack wouldn’t starve. As the brute started to properly awake, the well known cry of primal cats had him jump to his paws with a quite growl. It was more a worried one than an angry one. The primal cats were down in the valley but he wasn’t sure as to why they were so active. He wondered if they were planning or if they were on the move. Mika’s legs wobbled from getting up so quickly and his body threatened to fall. He looked over to the other wolves in the den and pinned his ears back slightly. Mika shook his head, trying to rid himself of the tiredness. He cared deeply for all the members of the pack and didn’t want to wake them if they were still tired. Even if it was time to get up and get on. With a yawn, Mika’s maw opened wide and he stretched his tired body out. Once he had adjusted his body, Mika padded his way out of the den and out into the open. His eyes looked around the camp for any wolves that were already awake.

Natalia | F | 3.2 yrs. | Lambda | Forest > Camp | Mentions: n/a She tracked scents through the weaving trees, away from camp but not straying an exceptional distance. Ears swiveling as she trotted along in the eerie silence, she finally began to circle back as the forest slowly brightened around her. She slowed to smell the breeze, considering the subtle scent of a wood grouse. Just as she settled into a lower poise, tasting the air and deciding the prey was close but unseen, a startling volley of feline shrieks lit the air from the valley below. The wolf jumped, a full body tremble working down her spine and her wide, hazel-hued eyes reflected fear in their amber and emerald depths. Prey forgotten, she turned tail and quick-stepped through the brambles and underbrush until she was at the edge of camp, wide-awake and hungry. Slipping through a break in the brush, she paused and shook her coat out, the silvers and golds mingling with the pale cream and whites of her undercoat. Dew drops flew from her as she shook, dampening the dirt around her paws. With a deep exhale, she hurried towards the center of camp and the den entrances, ears flattened to her head. She glanced about for any familiar faces, anxiety and fear fluttering in her chest. Some other wolves were just awakening, and she could scent others at the edges of camp. Swallowing thickly, she slowed and then halted, as if considering her course of action. Where was their alpha? Had he given any directions yet?
A few droplets of blood dotted his pale muzzle, a still-flopping fish pressed firmly between his thick paw and the dirt. It gasped for air and the dark, multi-colored wolf finally ended its struggle, long fangs digging into the soft flesh with a pleased growl. Licking his lips as he pulled back from his kill, he stepped away to shake out his pelt, soaked from the belly down in cold mountain water. Tongue lolling out as he checked his surroundings, he noticed the sun finally rising in the edge of his view. He'd been up for many hours on a long trek along the bottom edge of the mountains, trying to scent just how far the primal cats were venturing north. He knew there was one remaining pack of canines in this region, knew they were close, but Arseniy had no idea how close. Were the cats edging this way because they knew what he did not? The packs exact location, perhaps? Were they following the wolves to put an end to the canines reign? |

Pearla Interactions: Nikolai||Currently: Talking with Nikolai While the idea of the monstrous cats attacking her seemed terrifying, without collecting any herbs the pack will have no medicine to ail them if they get hurt. Sure it was the beginning of fall but as soon as the long winters hit, there would be no way to just leave camp and collect herbs. She musters up the courage to go out and go foraging today. Still the fear of being hunted by big cats was terrifying. So she decided to ask the alpha if any Lambdas were available to protect her. Seeing that the alpha is on a boulder in camp she walks towards him. Being in an lower level than him, she peered her head upwards to see his face. The big height advantage did intimidate her a bit, but it was nothing too bad. She sat down then greeted him. "Good morning! I want to let you know that the herb stock is running low and I need to go out and forage if we wanna live... Are any Lambda not on patrol or hunting today? I would like some protection considering the small commotion we heard this morning." Her paws slightly shifts as the cool breeze relaxes her. |

Chai||F||Lambda||Location: Camp||Mentions: Fern, Codex, Open The red and brown mother wolf flicked an ear back and fourth as strained to listen for any signs of her pups. “I swear Codex is just like Kaine was when he was a pup.” Mumbling her thought aloud that was filled with a slight distress as she fully exited from the nursery and scanned her hazel eyes once more around the clearing. “Fern!!! Codex!!!” Chai now calling a bit louder for her missing pups with a longer whine escaping from her. The mother wolf staying in her spot as she lifted one paw into the air and tilted her nose up towards the sky to inhale the many scents floating around camp. The loud cat’s sound made her hackles raise as she looked around once more with worry clouding into her eyes for her two puppies that had left even before the sun started rising. Chai, once more scanning her eyes around the camp clearing now desperate and hoping a pack member would hear her calling. Codex||M||Phi||Location: Outside of Camp now a short distance||Mentions: Fern, Open A crooked smile formed onto his maw as he convinced Fern to go exploring with him. “Momma won’t even know we’re gone.....so come on sis.”’Codex giving a short wag of his tail as he set off through the bushes and began to lead Fern on the fun filled morning. The young pup scampering on through the woods as he puffed up his chest. “Tag your it sis!” A loud chuckle escaping as he trotted faster to get away from his sister who he deemed the tagger. Both of the pups soon getting a short distance away from the camp. When the loud cat called out, Codex shivered slightly but shook his head. “I could fight a big cat any day..” the statement coming out boldly as he slowed down for Fern to keep up. Fern||F||Phi||Location;Short ways from camp||Mentions:Chai, Codex Even though her littermate practically coerced her into coming along. Now both pups were trotting through the forest. Fern struggling to keep up as her paws scrambled on the leaves already, crunching onto her paws. “Wait up Codex!” Calling for her littermate as she moved faster behind him. After being announced as a tagger a loud squeal of excitement sounded out. “I’m gonna get you now!” Fern wagging her tail quickly as she bounded after her brother in an attempt to catch him. |

Ornate | F | Loner | Coast, Forest | Mentions: Open for interaction! Ornate moved herself through the sand; letting her paws flick through it as she did. They sunk into the sand and it made her walk rather strangley. She jumped up onto the rocks and climbed up them. She felt her stomach growl and knew it was time to head into the forest to hunt for a meal. Thankfully for her, alpha’s taught their children how to be an alpha and for that you need to hunt and be amazing at it. Other loners weren’t so lucky. The scent of sea water had dragged her so far, she had made her way far enough from her old pack to be comfortable but she knew most of the cats sat just beyond the forest she was edging towards. The mountains. They would be a much better choice for her to settle herself. There were plenty of places to hide and sleep. There was a forest there too. She had made up her mind just yesterday, she just needed to let herself go. She planned to take it slow. Let herself hunt and rest whenever she pleased. In the end she knew her paws would take her where she needed to be. Ore stopped once she felt the safety of the trees, nose hovering over the soil beneath her. A sweet intoxicating smell, flowers and berries. It was a trail, a rabbit perhaps? Only a herbivore like a hare would leave behind pleasing smells. Ornate followed the scent, pushing her way through bramble to discover an opening, a miniature field if you will. 'There has to be burrows here.' Ornate assured her rumbling stomach, slowing herself. She followed the trail, her athletic body lowering to the ground, winding through the grass which reached the middle of her limbs. Downwind, check. Little to no noise, check. Sure enough, the first burrow was right below her nose, the rabbits surely smelt her and would be running around but if she was lucky there would be kits. The opening was larger than he anticipated, a little smaller than her head but still big. The entrance reeked of rabbit so Ornate quickly began digging, scraping the soil underneath her. When she guessed he had dug enough she launched her snout, jaws open, into the hole. Her teeth snagged onto something which was barley resistant, but several squeals came from it. She pulled out a plump brown hare by the shoulder, dropping it and snapping its neck violently. It was just a kit but enough for now. She would leave the others. Ornate picked up the small body by their neck and set herself down by a tree. She leaned her back against it and allowed the rabbit to sit at her paws as she relaxed herself. Mika | M | Lambda | Camp | Mentions: Chai Mika was about to go start on a patrol as he noticed the alpha arising. He bowed to the higher male even if he didn’t see it. He was going to leave, his paw up. He stopped and looked over to one of the others in the pack. His eyes narrowed a little as he thought about what her name was. He went through a couple before he settled on her name being Chai. He nodded to himself and frowned as he headed over to her. She was one of the mothers in the camp and seemed distraught. She was calling two names out in a panic. Possibly her pups? Mika knew all too well that pups were ones to get into trouble. He lowered his head as he padded over to her. Showing all signs of nothing but kindness. He didn’t want to freak her out more but definitely wanted to comfort her. “Ma’am?” he asked as he came to her side. “Chai? Is it?” he asked slowly, looking around everywhere her eyes studied. “Pups huh? If you need I can go look for them, I’m sure they didn’t go far, dont worry too much,” he tried to comfort her; hesitantly leaning forward and licking her ears. Anything to comfort her. A worried mother was never good. |
